OBITUARIES
ROSALIA SAUSA died Friday, Feb. 26, at the age of 86. She was the
beloved wife of the late Salvatore Sausa, loving mother of Rosario
(Maria) Sausa and Marco (Catherine Howland) Sausa, and cherished
grandmother of Ross. In lieu of fl owers, please make a donation in
Rosalia’s memory to the charity of your choice. A Mass of Christian
Burial was off ered Tuesday, March 2, followed by entombment at
St. John Cemetery Resurection Mausoleum, under the direction of
Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

ROSE CATAPANO died Tuesday, March 2, at the age of 97. She
was the beloved wife of the late Edward Catapano, loving mother of
Anthony Catapano, Vincent Catapano, Mary Vitale and Roseann Fornito
and mother-in-law of Maryann, Charlie and Michael, cherished
grandmother of Daniel, Audrey, Josette, Salina, Michael, Edward and
Joseph and great-grandmother of Valentina, Nathaniel and Alessandra,
and dear sister of Edith Ardolino. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered
on Saturday, MArch 6, followed by interment at Calvary Cemtery,
under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

GARY J. BILACH died Friday, March 5, at the age of 67. He was the
beloved husband of Donna Bilach, loving father of Andrew Bilach,
Daniel Bilach and Thomas Bilach, cherished grandfather of Savanna,
Brianna, Daniel and James, devoted son Lucy Bilach and dear brother
of Mark Bilach. Funeral services will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at
Papavero Funeral Home on Friday, March 12, followed by private
cremation at All Souls Crematory, under the direction of Papavero
Funeral Home, Maspeth.

VINCENT MATTERA died Sunday, March 7, at the age of 93. He
was the beloved husband of the late Annabelle Mattera, loving father
of Michael Mattera, Thomas Mattera and Barbara Mattera, cherished
grandfather of Vincent, Michael, Russell, Sonya, Kristian and Carolyn
and great-grandfather of Michael and Emma, and dear brother of
the late Frank Mattera, Joseph Mattera and Sam Mattera. He is also
survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews and was a United
States Army veteran. A Mass of Christian Burial will be off ered at
St. Stanislaus Church at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, followed by
interment at St. Charles Cemetery, under the direction of Papavero
Funeral Home, Maspeth.
