BWG Boys’ Teams Fall Short In Kansas City Tournament 51 • TIMES, THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2015 The Blau Weiss Gottschee (BWG) 2001 boys’ team traveled to Kansas City last weekend to play the National Championship in Futsal tournament. The boys were split into two teams, the U13 and U14 teams. Both teams made it to the semifinal stage of the tournament before being ousted by Sporting Kansas City teams. Although they didn’t win the tournament, they can say that they are one of the four top teams in the country in their age group. Locally, the U14 boys and U16 girls won their SUSA President Day tournament. From the younger groups, the U10 Royals traveled to Danbury, Conn. to win the indoor tournament and the 2002 Blue team won in Teaneck. Every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. boys and girls age 4-12 can register for the baseball league. There is an additional registration for girls age 13-17 for the softball league.
