Auxilary for the Benefit of Sick Children in memory of Kathleen

offered at St. Adalbert’s Church on Tuesday, Jan. 25, followed by
interment at St. John Cemetery, under the direction of Papavero
Funeral Home, Maspeth.

JAMES BESIO died Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the age of 95. A native
of Maspeth and a World War II veteran, he was the beloved husband
of the late Anita and devoted father of Roseann, Giannandrea and
Joseph, He is also survived by four grandchildren. He was a member
of Don Bosco Knights of Columbus Council, the Kowalinski Council
and Post America Legion. Services were offered at St. Stanislaus
Church, followed by interment at St. John Cemtery, under the direction
of Hess-Miller Funeral Home , Middle Village.

CAROLINE MARY WATZ died on Monday, Jan. 25, at the age of
96. She is survived by her six children, Stephen (Milagros) Watz,
Andrew (Loretta) Watz, Thomas Watz, Christopher Watz, Constance
Watz and Edward (Sabine) Watz, her five grandchildren,
Stephen, Jennifer, Kessica, Kevin and Dennis, and her five greatgrandchildren,
Mayron, Sage, Brooklyn, Major and Saylor. A Mass
of Christian Burial is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 28, at
St. Pancras Church, followed by interment at St. Charles Cemetery.
