Man burgles two
Sunnyside homes on
the same night
Cops are searching for the man who they
believe is responsible for two residential
burglaries in Sunnyside.
Authorities say that the man used an open window
to enter a home in the vicinity of 39th Avenue
and 45th Street just after 7 p.m. on Jan. 14.
Once inside, he grabbed a designer bag, Apple
AirPods and a jewelry box before fleeing.
Later that night, at approximately 8 p.m., the
crook entered a home near 45th Street and Skillman
Avenue. Once inside, he snatched a designer
bag before running off, according to authorities.
Police recovered the stolen jewelry from the first
location inside of this residence.
The suspect is described as Hispanic and was
last seen wearing all black.
Police released surveillance video and a
photograph that were obtained from the first
incident.
The 104th Precinct released the

are accusations, and all individuals

innocent until proven guilty.

Man on a bicycle sought
for ‘random, unprovoked
attack’ in Woodside
Police are searching for a man who is wanted in
connection with the assault of a 44-year-old
woman in Woodside on Jan. 11.
Authorities say that the woman was walking in
front of 40-33 68th St. at approximately 11:20 a.m.
on Jan. 11 when a man on a bike approached and
struck her in the face with a hard object in what is
described as a “random, unprovoked attack.”
The suspect — who is described as between 20
and 30 years old and was last seen wearing a dark
jacket and gray pants — fl ed the scene southbound

The woman suff ered a laceration to her mouth
that caused bleeding. EMS arrived at the scene and
transported her to a nearby hospital.
Police released on Monday night surveillance
video and photos taken from the vicinity of the
incident.
