According to a recent report published by PropertyShark — which ranked neighborhoods according to reported median sale prices in 2016 — Forest Hills Gardens was the most expensive in Queens, coming in at No. 10 on the list. With a median sale price of $1,525,000, the area was one of two non-Manhattan neighborhoods to place in the top 10. Broadway, a neighborhood within Flushing, was the next Queens neighborhood to appear on the list. The area ranked No. 28 with a median sale price of $944,000. Close behind was Hunters Point, a neighborhood of Long Island City, which listed at No. 29 with a median sale price of $935,000. A whopping 237 properties were sold in the area in 2016 — the highest number of transactions for a Queens neighborhood that made the list. Twelve neighborhoods in Queens took up residence on a total of 10 slots within the top 50 — with two neighborhoods each tying at the No. 44 and No. 46 openings.
