Cops seek suspect who
attacked Queens pawn
shop owner in his store
Detectives are looking for a suspect who
beat a pawn shop owner in Queens earlier
this week.
According to police, at 12:59 p.m. on
March 28 offi cers from the 103rd Precinct
responded to a call regarding an assault in
progress inside Global Pawn Shop, located
at 178-22 Jamaica Avenue in Jamaica. Upon
their arrival, offi cers found the owner of the
shop, a 60-year-old man, with severe trauma
to his head.
A preliminary investigation found that an
unknown man entered the shop, approached
the victim and struck him multiple times with
an unknown object. Th e suspect then fl ed the
store and went westbound on Jamaica Avenue.
Paramedics rushed the victim to Jamaica
Hospital Medical Center, where he is in critical
condition.
Th e suspect is described as a man with a
medium complexion and a medium build,
standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing
150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green
Adidas baseball hat, a black face mask, a dark
blue jacket with a hood, a black backpack,
dark green pants and black shoes.

Cops looking for heavily tattooed
suspect who allegedly slashed
a man in Jackson Heights
Th is suspect should be easy to spot.
Police from the 115th Precinct in Jackson
Heights are looking for a man in connection to
an assault a block away from the 74th Street and
Roosevelt Avenue transit hub in mid-March.
On the night of Friday, March 18, in the
vicinity of Broadway and 73rd Street, a 26-yearold
man and a heavily tattooed man began to
argue. Th e tattooed man grabbed a knife from
an unattended food cart and allegedly slashed
the victim in his face, police said.
Th e assailant fl ed westbound on Broadway.
EMS responded to the crime scene and transported
the victim to Elmhurst Hospital Center
where he was listed in stable condition, police
said.
The NYPD released surveillance images
of the suspect who had unkempt hair. He
was last seen wearing a dark T-shirt, blue
jeans and black sneakers. A reward of up
to $3,500 is being offered, according to
police.

Cops searching for duo
who robbed two men in
Springfi eld Gardens
Police from the 105th Precinct are looking
for two suspects who mugged two men at
gunpoint in broad daylight in a Springfi eld
Gardens industrial area earlier this month.
Th e two victims, a 31-year-old man and a
39-year-old man, were walking down 149th
Avenue near 182nd Street just aft er 5 p.m.
on Th ursday, March 17, when they were approached
by two men who displayed a fi rearm
and demanded their property, police said.
The two suspects forcibly removed approximately
$27,000 in cash from the older
victim and fled in an unknown direction
in a white Nissan sedan with Pennsylvania
license plate LCX-1798. Neither of the
victims was injured during the incident,
police said.
Th e NYPD released surveillance video and
images of the two men who were dressed in
all-black clothing. Police said they are between
20 to 30 years of age.
