Duo assaults victim and
steals his car during
Queens home invasion
Police are looking for a duo who
robbed and attacked a man during a
Queens home invasion.
According to the NYPD, at 3:35 a.m.
on Dec. 29, the suspects entered the
home of a 43-year-old man, located
in the vicinity of 70th Road and 137th
Street, by unknown means. Once inside,
the suspects pulled out fi rearms and
struck the victim on his head.
Th e crooks then duct-taped the victim
and took his debit card, car keys, vehicle
titles, personal papers and his 2014
Mercedes Benz and fl ed the scene. Th e
victim suff ered swelling, abrasions and
cuts to his head and went privately to
an area hospital for treatment in stable
condition.
Th e NYPD released a video of the
suspect taken from the victim’s security
camera.

Reckless man in Queens
shooting opens fi re on vehicle
along busy shopping strip
Cops need the public’s help in fi nding
the brazen man responsible for a Queens
shooting on a busy shopping strip on the
aft ernoon of Wednesday, Dec. 29.
Law enforcement sources said the suspect
opened fi re on an individual inside
a vehicle in front of 106-09 Jamaica Ave.
in Richmond Hill at about 4:33 p.m. on
Dec. 29.
According to authorities, the perpetrator
pulled up to the location inside a
white Mercedes-Benz four-door sedan,
and then pulled out a fi rearm, aiming it
at a dark-colored sedan traveling westbound
along Jamaica Avenue.
Police said the suspect then discharged
multiple rounds at the vehicle, but did
not hit the car nor any individuals in the
immediate vicinity.
Video footage obtained by police from
the location shows the suspect chasing
aft er a vehicle, which reversed at one point
before pulling away from the location.
Following the shooting, cops said, the
shooter fl ed the location on foot eastbound
along Jamaica Avenue before
turning northbound onto 107th Street.
Th e incident was reported to the 102nd
Precinct. No injuries were reported.
Police said the gunman wore a lightcolored
jacket with a fur-lined hood,
along with black pants and multicolored
sneakers.

Woman fatally stabbed
in Queens in fi rst NYC
homicide of 2022
Th e fi rst NYC homicide of 2022
occurred in Queens on Saturday night,
Jan. 1, when an unidentifi ed woman
was found stabbed to death.
Offi cers from the 114th Precinct
found the victim with multiple stab
wounds about her body near the corner
of 23rd Street and Broadway in Astoria
at about 8:35 p.m. on Jan. 1.
Th e victim was unconscious and
unresponsive when police found her.
Her age and identity are unknown at
this point; police sources said the victim
did not have any identifi cation on
her.
EMS rushed her to nearby Mount
Sinai Queens Hospital, where she was
pronounced dead.
So far, no arrests have been made in
the ongoing investigation.

Th e case is believed to be the fi rst
reported murder in New York City this
year. As of Dec. 26, 2021, the NYPD
had registered 479 murders for the 2021
calendar year, up 4.1% from the 460
recorded at the same point in 2020.
