He had just turned 84. Beloved husband of Roberta. Loving father of Michael and Debbie, Lori and Bruce Dubinsky. Cherished grandfather of Jessica (Matthew Grossman), Andrea and David Resnick, Matthew and Brian Dubinsky. Devoted husband of the late Marian. He had a warm and caring relationship with Roberta’s parents, her children, Richard, David and Julie and her grandchildren Matthew and Rachel. Resnick was a member of numerous fraternal and industry organizations. A licensed funeral director since 1957, he was the founder and chairman of Sinai Chapels in Fresh Meadows. “He was a pioneer in certain aspects of the funeral service,” said his son Michael. “He built the business from the ground up.” Debbie, Michael’s wife, echoed the sentiment: “He Resnick had a vision. He was a hard worker, very driven. He took pride in what he did.” He was a kind, caring and gentle person who will be missed by all whose lives he touched. Services were held at Sinai Chapels. Judge Marvin Holland Judge Marvin Holland passed away on Saturday, November 16 after a long career in the courts. Holland began work at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York in September 1985. After over a decade in his position, he retired in September 1999. The court announced his passing “with great sadness” on Tuesday, November 26. Natalie Cohen Natalie Cohen passed away Tuesday morning, December 3. She was a founding member of the Bay Terrace Community Alliance, a director on the Bay Terrace Cooperative Section XII board, and a member of the 111th Precinct Community Council for 35 years.
