Teen cuff ed for Rockaway Park
stabbing that left one dead
and another injured: NYPD
Police are investing the stabbing death
of a man in Rockaway Park earlier this
month.
On Wednesday, Nov. 4, around 6
p.m., police arrived at 111th Street and
Rockaway Beach Boulevard to fi nd a
19-year-old man with stab wounds to
his torso and a 24-year-old man with
stab wounds to his arm and shoulders,
according to the NYPD.
EMS personnel transported the
19-year-old to St. John’s Hospital where
he was pronounced dead. Th e 24-yearold
was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable
condition.
Police arrested a 17-year-old boy into
custody at the scene of the stabbing.
Th e name of the 19-year-old is being
withheld pending family notifi cation.
Th e investigation is ongoing.

Off -duty offi cer tackles,
apprehends man who tried to
sell a gun in Maspeth: NYPD
A Woodside man was arrested aft er an
off -duty police offi cer spotted him selling
a gun on a street corner in Maspeth.
On Friday, Oct. 30, around 10:50 p.m.,
Ivan Trdoslavic, 76, was selling a gun on
the corner of 74th Street and 52nd Avenue
when he was spotted by an off -duty NYPD
offi cer, according to the police.
Th e offi cer tackled Trdoslavic to the
ground and called offi cers from the 104th
Precinct to the scene, according to the
NYPD. Th e person who was going to buy
the gun ran off .
Trdoslavic was charged with criminal
sale of a fi rearm and criminal possession
of a fi rearm.
Th e investigation is ongoing.

Man steals more than
$3,000 in cash from Queens
Village auto shop: NYPD
Police are searching for the man who
allegedly stole more than $3,000 from a
Queens Village auto shop in October.
Authorities say the suspect entered JDM
Engine World Inc., located at 98-12 211th
St., through an open front garage door just
before 7 p.m. on Oct. 21. Once inside, the
man entered a private offi ce and nabbed
$3,200 in cash from a fi ling cabinet before
fl eeing the scene, police said.
Th e suspect, who is described as an
adult male with a dark complexion,
medium build, a goatee and dreadlocks,
was last seen fl eeing on foot, heading
northbound on 211th Street, according
to authorities. He was wearing eyeglasses,
a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt,
a jacket, sweatpants and sneakers,
police said.
Authorities released a surveillance
photo of the suspect on Nov. 6.
