searching for a gunman who
opened fi re on 90th Street
Police from the 115th in Jackson
Heights are looking for a gunman who
opened fi re on 90th Street in broad daylight
on Th ursday, Oct. 14.
At around 4 p.m. on Oct. 14, the suspect
was in front of a home at 37-18
90th St. when he pulled out a pistol and
fi red it two times before fl eeing on foot,
according to the NYPD.
Th ere were no injuries or property
damage reported in connection to the
shooting.
Th e NYPD released surveillance video
of the suspect as he fl ed the scene. He
was wearing a dark hoodie with dark
Adidas sweatpants with white stripes
down the legs.

Cops are looking for a group
of four muggers that have
struck multiple times in
Jamaica this month
Police from the 103rd Precinct in
Jamaica are looking for a gang of muggers
that have terrorized the neighborhood
in recent weeks. Th e individuals,
who cops say are in the teens or early
20s, surrounded a 48-year-old man as
he walked in front of 91-21 173rd St. on
Saturday, Oct. 2, according to the NYPD.
One of the men, wearing a red hoodie,
pulled out a knife and demanded the victim’s
money. He was then forced to the
ground and his wallet was removed from
his pocket as the gang fl ed eastbound on
Jamaica Avenue, police said. Th e stolen
wallet contained $360 in cash and multiple
credit and debit cards, police said.
Th ey struck again on Tuesday, Oct. 5,
as a 60-year-old man was walking on
171st Street around 8:45 p.m. Th e men
punched him in the head multiple times,
knocking him unconscious. Th e gang
made off with the victim’s Samsung cellphone
and $35 in cash before fl eeing
northbound on 171st Street.
EMS responded to the crime scene
and transported the victim to NYC
Health + Hospitals/Queens with a head
injury where he was listed in stable condition,
police said.
Two nights later, a 61-year-old man
was at the corner of 90th Avenue and
168th Street when he was surrounded
by the four men and punched in the
head multiple times. His wallet, containing
$1,670 in cash, was removed,
and they also took his iPhone 7 before
running off . Th e victim sustained a
minor injury to his head but refused
medical attention, according to the
NYPD.
On Friday, Oct. 8, a 41-year-old man
was getting out of his car at 89-26
168th Pl. when he was surrounded by
three of the suspects. One of the men
punched him in the head while the others
removed $240 in cash, identifi cation,
credit and debit cards, and the victim’s
TLC license, police said, adding
that the victim did not sustain any injuries
and refused medical attention.
Th e muggers struck again around 9
p.m. on Oct. 12 at the corner of 90th
Avenue and 171st Street. An 81-yearold
man was walking southbound when
he was set upon by the group. One of
the suspects punched him in the head,
causing him to fall down.
Th e gang proceeded to punch and
kick the senior and forcibly remove his
wallet before running southbound on
172nd Street toward Jamaica Avenue.
Th e victim sustained injuries to his
head and EMS rushed him to NYC
Health + Hospitals/Queens in stable
condition, according to police.
Th e victim’s wallet contained $740 in
cash, a debit card, identifi cation and
lottery tickets.
No arrests have been made. Th e investigation
is ongoing.

Police search for gunman
who fi red shot in front of
Queens Criminal Court

Richards took to social media to share
that his offi ce had received reports of
shots fi red near Borough Hall in Kew
Gardens.
“As of this time, Queens Borough Hall
was not a target,” Richards posted on
Twitter. “Th ankfully, no one was seriously
hurt.”
Police from the 102nd Precinct in
Richmond Hill launched an investigation
and are currently looking for a man
in connection to the “reckless endangerment”
that occurred just aft er noon on
Wednesday, Oct. 13.
Investigators say the suspect displayed
a fi rearm and fi red off at least one shot
in front of the Queens Criminal Court,
located at 120-55 Queens Blvd., alongside
Borough Hall.
No victims were located in
regard to the incident, police
said.Th
e NYPD has released a surveillance
image of the suspect
who was wearing a blue tracksuit
with white stripes down
the sleeves and white sneakers.
He was wearing white sneakers.
No arrests have been made
and the investigation is
