Man punches victim
on 7 train in LIC
Th e NYPD is looking for a man who
punched a fellow straphanger while on a
train headed to Long Island City.
Police said that at 7:20 p.m. on July
21, a 43-year-old man was riding on

approached the Court Square subway station,
he accidentally touched an unknown
man on the train, which led to a verbal
dispute between the men.
Law enforcement sources noted that the
suspect punched the victim in the back of
the head and then grabbed the victim by
his hair, ultimately stopping the assault.
Th e victim got off the train at the station
and refused medical attention at
the scene, authorities noted. Th e suspect
remained on the train.
Police released a photo of the suspect
taken at another station.

Would-be burglar fails to
break into Flushing home
Police are on the lookout for a wouldbe
burglar who tried breaking into a home
in the Auburndale area of Flushing earlier
this month.
On Aug. 7 just before noon, law enforcement
sources said, an unidentifi ed man
used a chair to climb into the bathroom
window of a house in the vicinity of 46th
Avenue and 192nd Street.
Cops from the 111th Precinct reported
that the 58-year-old male homeowner
heard a sound and saw the suspect in
his bathroom.
When the suspect saw the homeowner,
authorities noted, he fl ed on foot in an
unknown direction. Th e man fl ed without
any property and the victim did not incur
any injuries from the incident.
Police describe the suspect as an adult
man who was last seen wearing a blue
shirt and white hat.

Creep sexually assaults
woman in Jamaica
Cops are looking for a creep who sexually
assaulted a woman underneath a
train overpass in Jamaica early Sunday
morning.
Authorities say that at 2:40 a.m. on
Aug. 18, a 22-year-old woman was in
the vicinity of Tuskegee Airmen Way
and 157th Street when an unknown man
dragged her under a nearby Long Island
Rail Road train trestle. Th e suspect proceeded
to strike the victim on the head
with a hard object and sexually assaulted
her.
Th e suspect then fl ed the scene in an
unknown direction. Th e victim was treated
for a contusion to the back of the head
at a nearby hospital.
Police released video of the suspect
taken from nearby surveillance footage,
available on QNS.com.
Th e suspect is described as a heavyset
black man in his 40s and standing 5
feet, 8 inches tall. He had a dark-colored
cap or du-rag on his head and was last
seen wearing a white shirt and dark-colored
pants.

Duo rob Jamaica grocery
store at gunpoint
Cops are looking for a duo who robbed
a 24-hour grocery store in Jamaica early
on Monday morning.
According to police, at 12:20 a.m. on
Aug. 19, two unknown men entered a
grocery store located in the vicinity of
111th Avenue and Merrick Boulevard.
Once inside, cops said, the suspects
approached the 44-year-old male cashier
and one of the men pulled out a fi rearm.
Law enforcement sources noted that
the crooks proceeded to forcibly remove
the cashier’s watch from his wrist and
took $800 dollars from the cash register.
Th e suspects then fl ed the scene on foot
on 111th Avenue.
Members of the 113th Precinct
responded to the scene. No injuries were
reported.
On Aug. 20, the NYPD released surveillance
video, available on QNS.com,
of the suspects taken at the incident
location.
Cops described the bandits as two
men, one was last seen wearing a black
hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black
sneakers and a red bandana over his
face and the other was last seen wearing
a gray hooded jacket, a black hat, teal
pants and white sneakers.
