Failed gunman in South
Ozone Park remains at large
Police are looking for a man who was
caught on camera ultimately failing to
gun down a woman at her home in South
Ozone Park on the evening of Friday,
July 19.
Authorities say that at 6:40 p.m. on July
19, an unknown man with a black shirt
covering his face approached a 45-yearold
woman in front of her home, located
in the vicinity of 109th Street and 109th
Avenue. When the suspect held up a gun
and tried to fi re it at the woman, the gun
did not fi re.
Aft er trying and failing to get the gun
to fi re a second time, the suspect fl ed the
scene on foot southbound on 109th Street
and then westbound on 109th Avenue.
Police released video of the incident
that shows the suspect trying to shoot
the victim and fl eeing the scene when he
was ultimately unsuccessful. Th e video is
available on QNS.com.
Th e suspect is described as a black
man who was last seen wearing a white
shirt, blue jean shorts, black socks and
black Nike slides, and he had a black shirt
wrapped around his head.

sought for
cellphone
theft
in Long
Island City
Cops are
looking for two
men who may
know something
about
a cellphone
snatching at
a Long Island
City train station.
According to
police, at 11:55
a.m. on July 2, a 21-year-old woman
was standing on the platform at the
Court Square-23rd Street station when
an unknown man approached her and
swiped her cellphone. Th e suspect, along
with another unknown man, then fl ed
the station.

the suspects fl eeing the station, available

Thief steals cash from
Richmond Hill pharmacy
Th e NYPD is searching for a man
who stole cash from a pharmacy in
Richmond Hill.
Authorities say that at 6:40 p.m. on
July 21, an unknown man entered
a Walgreens, located at 132-50
Metropolitan Ave. Once inside, the suspect
held a hard object under his shirt
and demanded money from the register.
Aft er the suspect stated, “Do you
want to die? Hand over the money,” he
reached over the counter and swiped
approximately $586 in cash. Th e suspect
then fl ed the scene in an unknown
direction.
Th e 102nd tweeted out the following
photos of the suspect on July 22.

Thief steals over $100K in
loot from Flushing home
Police are looking for a person of
interest who may know something about
a recent burglary at a Flushing home
that cost one family a fortune.
According to police, between
9:30 a.m. and 5:40 p.m. on July
16, an unknown man gained
access to an unoccupied residence
in the Auburndale section
of Flushing, located in the
vicinity of 196th Street and 47th
Avenue, through an unlocked
window.
Once inside, law enforcement
sources said the crook swiped
$40,000 in cash and $50,000
worth of assorted jewelry. Th e
burglary was reported to the
111th Precinct.
Cops described the person
of interest as a man who was
last seen wearing black pants,
a white shirt, a black hat and
black sneakers and carrying a
backpack.
On July 17, the NYPD
released video footage of the
person of interest, available on QNS.
