Queens foodies and beer connoisseurs
can look forward to a salty and sudsy
bonanza coming to Flushing this fall.
Th e Bacon and Beer Classic will take
over the USTA Billie Jean King National
Tennis Center on Sept. 29 and feature
bacon-inspired dishes and brews from
over 40 local eateries and breweries.
Tickets are all-inclusive and begin at $65.
Th e annual food festival gives attendees
the opportunity to taste test dishes
inspired by the cured meat from some
of the best local chefs. Queens restaurants
slated to participate include Forest
Hills’ Queens Bully and Whitestone’s
Ticket holders can also sample beers
from breweries including Port Jeff
Brewing, Crossroads Brewing Company,
Brewdog and Oyster Bay Brewing
Company. Attendees can also explore the
USTA National Tennis Center in Queens,
home of the U.S. Open, and enjoy live
music, lawn games and an eating contest.
Th e event will be split into two sessions:
1 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. Th ose who
purchase Power Hour or VIP tickets will
gain one extra hour of tastings. VIP ticket
holder can also access exclusive craft beer
tastings, dishes and USTA’s Premium
Attendees must be 21 years old and
