Two men sought in
Corona stabbing: NYPD
Police from the 110th Precinct in
Corona are searching for two men
in connection with a stabbing incident
a block north of Roosevelt
Avenue that took place on Sunday,
June 27.
A 36-year-old man was standing
in front of 46-04 108th St., around
5:30 a.m., when he was approached
by two men who engaged in a verbal
dispute. As
the argument
intensifi ed, the
dispute turned
physical and
the fi rst suspect
stabbed the victim
in the abdomen
and side
approximately
seven times
with a knife,
according to the
NYPD.
The second
man proceeded
to pick up
the knife as well
as the victim’s
chain before
both men fl ed southbound on 108th
Street in a black Honda Odyssey.
Th e victim was transported to
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center by
private means and remains in critical
condition, police said.
Th e fi rst suspect, who allegedly
stabbed the victim, is described as
a light-skinned man between the
ages of 25 to 30 who is approximately
5 feet 10 inches tall and was last
seen wearing a tan cap, white T-shirt
and a fanny pack around his chest,
according to the NYPD.
Th e second suspect is described as
a dark skinned-man approximately
25 to 30 years old who is approximately
5 feet 10 inches tall and was
last seen wearing a red Chicago Bulls
hat, a red Michael Jordan Bulls jersey,
black pants, and black and red
sneakers.

Woodhaven drive-by
shooting leaves three
men wounded: NYPD
Police from the 102nd Precinct are
searching for a gunman who wounded
three young men in a drive-by shooting
in Woodhaven on the evening of
Tuesday, June 29.
Th e three victims were standing near
the intersection of 77th Street and 88th
Avenue just before 7:15 p.m. when an
occupant in a dark-colored sedan opened
fi re, striking the three bystanders.
Th e wounded men were able to drive
themselves to Jamaica Hospital where
all three were listed in stable condition,
police said.
No arrests have been made and the
investigation is ongoing.
“I condemn in the strongest terms
the outrageous and inexcusable drive-by
shooting of three people last night at 77th
Street in Woodhaven,” Assemblywoman
Jenifer Rajkumar said. “Th is comes only
two weeks aft er the neighborhood witnessed
a shooting in broad daylight at the
corner of Jamaica Avenue and 90th Street
and a month aft er a shooting on 90th
Street off Park Lane South. Gun violence
has no place in our society, and I will do
everything in my power to reverse the
recent upticks in shootings and certain
other crimes. I am always in contact with
102nd Precinct Commanding Offi cer
Antonio Fidacaro, and we have already
discussed this and other troubling crimes
in South Queens. Aft er decades of progress
in reducing crime, we cannot and
will not return to the ‘Bad Old Days.’”

Police looking for tattooed man who
stole a teen’s iPhone in Woodside
Police from the
108th Precinct and
Transit District 20 are
looking for a tattooed
man who snatched a
teenager’s phone as
she rode the 7 train
earlier this month.
The 17-yearold
victim was riding
in the Flushing
line subway on June
19 around 3:30 p.m.
when it was stopped
inside the 69th Street
subway station in
Woodside, police
said.
The suspect
approached the teen and grabbed an iPhone from her
hand then fl ed the scene, according to the NYPD.
Th e suspect is described as a man with tattoos over
both eyebrows. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt
bearing the number 23, red sunglasses, dark shorts and
a dark-colored backpack, according to police.
