Cops seek creep who groped 18-year-old
woman at Jackson Heights subway station
Police are searching for the man who groped a woman at the
Jackson Heights–Roosevelt Avenue/74th Street subway station on
Th ursday, June 18.
Authorities say that at noon on June 18, an 18-year-old woman
was heading down an escalator from the mezzanine level of the station
when a man approached her and grabbed her left breast. Th e
man then fl ed the location in an unknown direction, police said.
Th e woman was not injured and refused medical attention,
according to authorities.

Driver fatally strikes

A 59-year-old man died aft er being
struck by a driver in Ozone Park Monday
aft ernoon.
On Monday, June 22, around 1:30 p.m.,
a 26-year-old woman was driving a 2019
Jeep SUV when she attempted to pass a
box truck on its right side as the two cars
headed north on Cross Bay Boulevard
near Liberty Avenue, according to the
police. Th e woman lost control of her
car and mounted the sidewalk, hitting
the man and an electric utility pole, cops
said.
The man was taken to Jamaica
Hospital where he was pronounced
dead. The driver remained at the
scene of the crash, according to the
police.
No arrests have been made and the
investigation is ongoing.

Man dies after falling
onto tracks and
getting hit by train
in Queens: NYPD
A man died of his injuries aft er
he was struck by an oncoming
7 train in Long Island City on
Sunday.
According to police, at
10:52 p.m. on June 21, offi cers
responded to a 911 call regarding
a man hit by a train at the
Queensboro Plaza station. Upon
their arrival, offi cers found that
a 30-year-old man had fallen
onto the track and was hit by an
oncoming 7 train.
Th e victim, whose identity is
being withheld pending family
notifi cation, was pronounced
dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for the NYPD
said that the victim may have
been intoxicated and “staggered”
toward the edge of the platform
and ultimately fell in. However,
the Medical Examiner will determine
the cause of death.
Th e investigation is ongoing.
