Tickets range from $5 to $20 and are on sale at the box office of the venue where they will be performed. ‘Idle Hands’ at the Gotham Center The LIC Arts Open 2013 is pleased to announce the opening of “Idle Hands,” a group exhibition of LIC artists, at the Gotham Center. As part of the LIC Arts Open 2013 and in its second year running, the Gotham Center exhibition is one of the stars of the Open. This exhibition would not be possible without the generous support from Lawrence Spahn, Dana Frankel and the LIC Partnership and TF Cornerstone. Join them on Thursday, May 16 at 6 p.m. for an opening reception of wine, cheese and good conversation. Keeping their hands busy and minds engaged, the Gotham artists summon a legion of inanimate matter and intellectual rigor to craft evocative, thought-provoking works of art. Transcending our notions of the everyday object, the artists’ alchemy conjures a second life out of the materials, both literally and figuratively.
