arrested after threatening
FedEx delivery driver with
bow and arrow: NYPD
A Queensboro Hill man was cuff ed
aft er he allegedly chased down a FedEx
worker with a bow and arrow last
week.
Th e medieval scene unfolded during
the aft ernoon of Tuesday, April 27,
when a 38-year-old FedEx employee
was delivering packages along his route
in Queensboro Hill, according to the
authorities.
Dropping off a package around
Lawrence Street and 59th Avenue,
the delivery man was approached by
22-year-old Alexander Carrion, who
lives in the area, cops said.
Carrion began to argue with the
FedEx employee before taking out a
bow and arrow and chasing him down
the street, according to the NYPD.
Police were called to the scene and
quickly located and arrested Carrion
without incident, the authorities said.
Carrion faces fi ve charges, including
reckless endangerment in the fi rst
and second degree, menacing, criminal
possession of a weapon and harassment.
Th e FedEx delivery man wasn’t
injured during the attack.
Th e investigation is ongoing.

man cuff ed for stabbing
stepfather to death: NYPD
Police arrested a 31-year-old man in
Springfi eld Gardens aft er he allegedly
stabbed his stepfather to death with
a pocket knife inside their home early
in the morning of Wednesday, April 28.
Police sources said the brawl broke out
just before 12:30 a.m. on April 28, when
Henry Garland, 41, got into a verbal dispute
with his wife, the suspect’s mother,
in their home on North Conduit Avenue
near Springfi eld Boulevard.
Garland’s stepson, Andrew Hilton,
then intervened in the shouting match,
law enforcement sources said, resulting
in a physical struggle between Hilton,
who also lives in the home, and his stepfather.
Th ings turned deadly, cops said, when
Hilton grabbed hold of a pocket knife
and stabbed Garland multiple times in
the neck and torso.
Offi cers from the 113th Precinct
responded to the home a short time
later aft er receiving a 911 call about
the incident. EMS rushed Garland to
Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced
dead.
Police took the victim’s stepson into
custody at the scene and booked on
murder and criminal possession of a
weapon charges. Th e knife used in the
deadly encounter was recovered at the
scene.
Police have previously been called to
the home for domestic disputes allegedly
perpetrated by Hilton against his mother
and sister. He has no arrest history in
New York City.
Th e investigation remains ongoing,
police said.

Cops seek attacker who kicked
elderly man in Forest Hills
Police are looking for a man who randomly
attacked an elderly man in Forest
Hills last month.
On Friday, April 23, around 7:30 p.m.,
a 76-year-old man was standing in front
of 108-01 Queens Blvd., when he noticed
an unidentifi ed man crossing the street
toward him, according to the authorities.
Th e man then kicked the 76-year-old in
the stomach, knocking him to the ground,
where he hit his head, cops said.
Th e attacker ran off westbound down
108th Street.
Th e 76-year-old refused medical attention
at the scene, despite getting cuts to
his head and hand during the attack.
Police recovered surveillance footage of
the suspect from the area around the location
of the attack.
No arrests have been made and the
investigation is ongoing.
