Man steals $3,000 in
burglary of Middle Village
Thai restaurant: NYPD
Th e NYPD is looking for a man who
broke into a Th ai restaurant in Middle
Village and stole approximately $3,000
in cash on Saturday, Jan. 9.
Around 6 a.m. on Jan. 9, an unidentifi
ed man broke into Nur Th ai, located
at 63-32 Woodhaven Blvd., according to
the NYPD.
Aft er making his way past the locked
front door, the man picked up the cash
register and several electronics – all
together valued around $3,000 – and
fl ed the restaurant, cops said.
Th e suspect is described by police as
being between 20 and 30 years old.
No one was injured during the burglary.
No arrests have been made and the
investigation is ongoing.

Cops seek duo who
punched and robbed
man in Flushing
Th e NYPD is looking for the
duo who assaulted and robbed
a man in Flushing last month.
On Wednesday, Dec. 23,
around 11:30 p.m., two unidentifi
ed men approached a 21-yearold
man who was standing at
the corner of College Point
Boulevard and Roosevelt
Avenue, according to the NYPD.
Seemingly at random, the two
men punched the man in the
face and stole $10 from him,
cops said.
Th e duo ran eastbound on
Roosevelt Avenue into a residential
building located at 40-05
College Point Blvd., according
to the police.
Th e 21-year-old was taken
to Elmhurst Hospital in stable
condition, with swelling and
bruising to his face.
No arrests have been made
and the investigation is ongoing.

Knife-wielding assailant
slashes hotel worker
in Long Island City
Th e NYPD is looking for a man
who allegedly cut a hotel worker
with a knife in Long Island City on
Sunday, Jan. 10.
Around 6:15 a.m. on Jan. 10, a
33-year-old male hotel worker was
in the hotel lobby of a La Quinta
Inn, located at 37-18 Queens Blvd.,
when he was approached by an
unidentifi ed man loitering in the
building, according to the NYPD.
Th e hotel worker stepped out
from behind the reception desk,
where he was working, to hand
the man a bottle of water. Th e man
grabbed the water bottle then took
out a knife, lunging toward the
hotel worker, police said.
Th e two began to struggle and
the loitering man slashed the
hotel worker with the knife, cutting
his hands and left ear, cops
said. Eventually, the hotel worker
made it back behind the reception
desk and was able to close the
door separating the desk from the
rest of the lobby, video of the incident
shows.
Th e unidentifi ed man walked
out of the hotel and fl ed in an
unknown direction.
Th e hotel worker was transported
in stable condition to New York
Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst.
No arrests have been made and
the investigation is ongoing.
