BY BROOKLYN PAPER
A whopping 3,000 families
in need in the metropolitan
area received turkeys this
Thanksgiving owing to the
efforts to Kings Plaza
and two other metro area
malls.
Macerich, the company
that owns Kings
Plaza along with Queens
Center Mall and Green
Acres Mall in Valley
Stream, Long Island,
worked with local nonprofi
ts to do their part,
like so many others ensuring
New Yorkers
didn’t go hungry.
In Brooklyn, the turkey
donations were facilitated
through partnerships
with Mary Queen
of Heaven Church’s food
pantry in Flatlands, along
with the real estate developer

to facilitate donations.
THE SEASON OF GIVING: Volunteers from Kings Plaza teamed
up with local nonprofi ts and other malls across the tri-state area
