Three fi refi ghters
were injured Sunday battling
a two-alarm blaze
in Crown Heights, and
another three were hurt
Monday while going up
against a fast-spreading
fi re just over a mile away
on Kingston Avenue.
At around 4:30 pm
on Halloween, fi refi ghters
responded to reports
of a growing fi re on the
fi rst and second fl oors
of a three-story brownstone
at 1192 Park Place.
Units, some short-staffed
in the aftermath of the
COVID-19 vaccine mandate,
eventually doused
the fl ames using three
hoses, which Brooklyn
Paper reported had as few
as three people operating
at some times.
In total, 106 fi refi ghters
responded to the
blaze, the cause of which
remains under investigation
