Cycle of violence
Some knave ambushed a cyclist
in MetroTech Center on May 25.
The victim told police that he
pulled over his bike after the trickster
asked for directions between
Lawrence and Bridge streets at
around 4:30 am, before the baddie
yanked his phone, punched him in
the face repeatedly, knocked him
to the ground, before grabbing his
wallet and making a run for it.
Lobby looter
Cops arrested a man they suspect
of trying to ransack a building
entrance at Schermerhorn Street on
May 27.
A witness told police that the
suspect got into the lobby between
Boerum Place and Court Street at
3:30 pm and allegedly took several
packages.
When someone caught him in
the act, he dropped his bounty and
dashed, but cops caught up with him
at Jay and Fulton streets and cuffed
him on felony burglary charges.
Hog rob
Some fi lcher stole a man’s motorbike
at Warren Street on May 26.
The victim told police that he
chained his two-wheeler to a gate
between Bond and Nevins streets,
but somebody stole it some time between
1 and 9 am.

Train slasher
Two brutes attacked a man on a 4
train near Fulton Street on May 26.
The victim told police that he
got into a fi ght with the villains on
the southbound 4 train near Flatbush
Avenue at 12:30 am, when one
sprayed him in the face with an unknown
substance while the other
slashed him in the face.
Paramedics rushed the victim to
Brooklyn Hospital for treatment of
his wounds, according to police reports.
Not good
Police cuffed a man for allegedly
attacking a guy with a bottle on
Myrtle Avenue on May 26.
The victim told police that the
suspect walked up to him and asked
“what’s good” between Clinton and
Vanderbilt avenues at 8:40 am, before
allegedly hitting him with the
bottle and punching him in the
face.Police caught up with the man
at Park and N. Portland avenues
and arrested him on felony robbery
charges.

Snacks snatch
A gun-wielding knave robbed a
bodega on Flatbush Avenue Ext. on
May 28.
An employee told police that the
lout nabbed a bag of chips and a protein
bar before heading out without
paying near Fulton Street at 10:10
pm, before drawing a gun and pointing
it at the employee who tried to
stop him from leaving.
Bottled!
An attacker hurled a glass bottle
at a high-ranking cop at a protest on
Dekalb Avenue on May 29.
The victim, the commanding
offi cer of the 75th precinct deputy
inspector John Mastronardi, was
assigned to control crowds near
Classon Avenue at 9:30 pm, when
someone threw the bottle at him,
hitting him the mouth — causing
him to lose a tooth as well as suffer
cuts to his lip which required
stitches.
Paramedics rushed the commander
to a Queens hospital for
treatment, according to authorities.
Cop puncher
Some malefactor punched a police
offi cer in the face during a protest
on Lafayette Avenue on May 29.
The victim said that he was trying
to disperse a crowd near Classon
Avenue at 10:30 pm, when the
man punched him in the face, before
fl eeing the scene, according to
police.
Heavy hitter
An assailant threw an object at a
police offi cer on Dekalb Avenue on
May 29.
The offi cer claimed the lawbreaker
threw the heavy material
at the cop near S. Portland Avenue
at 9 pm, hitting him in the back of
the neck.
Ear shot
A police offi cer suffered a busted
up ear after someone threw an object
at him at Dekalb Avenue on
May 29.
The victim-in-uniform says that
he was trying to disperse a crowd
of protesters near Steuben Street at
8:35 pm, when someone launched an
object at him hitting him in the ear,
according to police rerports.

Car crook
A bandit stole $140 and personal
belongings out of a car parked on
Presidents Street sometime between
May 26 and May 30.
The victim told police that the
bandit entered the unlocked 2013
Volkswagen sedan parked between
Henry and Clinton streets and
nabbed her bag, change purse, a
computer case, and cash.
Carjacking
A thief stole $500 worth of items
from a car parked on Columbia
Street sometime between May 31
and June 1.
The victim told police that the
burglar stole food, home supplies,
canned goods, and cosmetics and
$40 in cash from the 2011 Toyota that
she left on the corner of Creamer
Street.
Package pilferer
A crook nabbed a box containing
hair supplies and audio equipment
from a Clinton Street home on May
29.
The victim told police that the
bandit snagged the package containing
a $70 audio pre-amplifi ed and
two hair products from the lobby of
the multi-family residence between
Degraw and Kane streets sometime
between 12:09 pm and 1 pm.
Backpack burglary
A thief stole a backpack carrying
nearly $700 worth of items from
a Dwight Street apartment building
on May 28.
The victim told police that he
left his backpack in the lobby of
his building on the corner of King
Street while he was retrieving the
mail, and forgot to bring it when he
entered the elevator. But when he returned
to the lobby 10 minutes later,
the backpack — containing his wallet,
IDs, shoes, reading glasses, and
sunglasses — was gone.

Police offi cers shot a shooting
suspect in Crown Heights dead
on Tuesday night after he refused
repeated instructions to drop his
weapon when cops found him,
NYPD Chief of Department Terence
Monahan reported.
Ten offi cers who confronted
the 34-year-old suspect along Bergen
Street near Rochester Avenue
in Crown Heights all opened fi re
on him after pleading with him
to drop his weapon for more than
a minute, which he ultimately refused
to do, Monahan said.
The shooting was not related to
the ongoing police brutality protests,
one of which was less than
three miles away from the scene
during the time of the shooting.
Law enforcement sources said
the unnamed perpetrator shot a
man just before 9:26 pm along Bergen
Street. Offi cers responded to
the location after the gunshot set
off the NYPD’s ShotSpotter detection
system.
Upon arriving at the location,
they found the unidentifi ed victim
wounded at the corner of Rochester
Avenue and Bergen Street.
Paramedics brought him to a local
hospital in stable condition. The
motive for the shooting remains
unclear.
The gunman’s weapon was recovered
at the scene.
The NYPD Force Investigation
Squad, which handles police-involved
shootings, is handling the
investigation.
