STORY BY

of Linda Rappaport As NST said goodbye to 2018,
 its residents also bade a
fond farewell to a pair of
 individuals who collectively devoted
more than 80 years to serving the
 community.
For 42 years, nearly as long as
 North Shore Towers has been
 open, Geri Cancro manned the
 concierge desk of Building #1,
 greeting and announcing visitors,
 accepting resident packages, as well
serving as point person for Building
 Superintendent John Kenny—who
 retired in 2015—keeping him
 abreast of Resident issues throughout
 each day.
“She’s a terrific lady, who did
 an incredible job,” NST General
 Superintendent Steve Cairo said.
 Duke Saganich began his career
at NST 41 years ago as a handyman,
  dealing with minor repairs
 in resident apartments, changing
 AC filters and unclogging drains,
among others. After 25 years, he
 transitioned to the office, handling
 work orders, performing as
The Migdal Chapter of Hadassah at North Shore Towers presents…
 a customer service representative
supervisor and acting as the go-to
 guy in the Central Maintenance
 office.
 “Another valuable asset, we’re
really going to miss,” noted Cairo.
 Residents and management
 thank both Cancro and Saganich
 for their invaluable service and
wish them many years of health
 and happiness in their retirements.
 Thank you!
