Ready, set, glow!
Brooklynites of all ages
fl ocked to the Aviator Sports and
Events Center on June 8 in Gerritsen
Beach for the Night Nation
Run, the world’s fi rst running
music festival 5K.
The course included multiple
DJs, an illuminated race course
and an after party fi lled with
dancing, glow lights, lasers and
live music from.
Participants included runners
both young and old who
gathered to celebrate their love
of electronic music and exercise
while fi ghting for a cure for cancer.
Lindsay Lorman came from
New Jersey to participate in the
run for the fi rst time and said
enjoyed the event so much, she
would attend next year.
“My favorite part was the actual
run. No lights were on and
the racetrack was illuminated
by everyone and their glow
gear,” she said. “It was an added
bonus that all the run donations
went to fi ghting cancer.”
Daniela Figureo, heard about
the event from some friends and
made the trip from New Jersey
to attend.
“It was fun because of the energy
from the people and the DJs
that played. I got a lot of exercise
but, my favorite part was the after
party at the event,” Figuero
said.
