Hairy situation
Police arrested a man they say
pulled a family members hair and
stole her phone at the victim’s Sands
Street home on Feb. 28.
The victim told police that, near
Gold Street at 2 am, she got into a
fi ght with her relative, who allegedly
yanked her hair and tried to
hit her with a helmet.
The suspect took her phone, but
gave it back to her fi ve hours later,
before sending her threatening
texts.
Cops caught up with the man
and collared him on felony robbery
charges on March 2.
Brutal bandit
Some scumbag ambushed a
woman inside a York Street building
on March 3.
The victim told police that, near
Gold Street at 11:30 am, the ruffi an
punched her in the face repeatedly,
before choking her and taking an
envelope with $300 in it and fl eeing
out of the building.
The victim took a bus to Methodist
Hospital for treatment of her
bruised and cut face, according to
the authorities.
Cut him off
Cops collared a man they say
stabbed a teen during a road rage
incident on Sands Street on March
2.
The 18-year-old victim told police
that, near Gold Street around 11:10
am, the two got into a war of words,
which escalated when the suspect
allegedly threw a water bottle at the
victim’s car, before stabbing him
with a knife and fl eeing the scene.
Police picked up the alleged stabber
nearby 20 minutes later and
charged him with felony assault,
cops said.
Agent attack!
Police arrested a man they say
attacked a traffi c agent on Court
Street on March 2.
The victim told her colleagues
that, between Schermerhorn and
State streets just before 1 pm, the
suspect allegedly said, “You f------
cops, I hate you,” before kicking her
in the arm.
Cops cuffed the suspect on the
spot for felony assault, according to
the authorities.
Bodega beatdown
Police arrested a man they say
attacked a bodega worker with a bat
on Hoyt Street on March 6.
The victim told police that, near
Warren Street at 2:30 pm, the suspect
allegedly hit him in the head.

Fast fi refi ghters rescue woman
from burning Bensonhurst home
Firefi ghters rescued a woman during a house fi re at 2444 83 Street.

Douglass and Court streets just before
3 pm, and the victim was rushed
to Methodist Hospital for treatment,
according to police reports.
Hatchet job
Axe-wielding burglars broke
into a Front Street shade store but
left empty-handed in the early hours
of March 5.
The store owners told police that,
at Main Street between 3-4 am, the
looters busted the front door with
the hatchet and had a look around
the home decor business before fl eeing
toward Washington Street in
their Audi.

Cut-throat
Some rogue slashed a deliveryman
on Park Avenue on March 5.
The victim told police he was
making a drop off near Navy Street
around 2:10 pm, when the menace
waltzed up saying, “What, what,”
before cutting him across the face
with a blade and fl eeing toward N.
Portland Avenue.
The victim was rushed to Methodist
Hospital for treatment, according
to police reports.
Leg shot
A gunman shot a guy in the leg
near a Dekalb Avenue hospital on
March 6.
The victim told police that, at
Ashland Place just after 7:30 pm, the
criminal shot him in the thigh after
an argument.
The gunshot victim limped his
way to nearby Brooklyn Hospital
for treatment of his injuries, according
to the authorities.
Pricey pickup
A thief stole a high-end electric
guitar from a Grand Avenue storage
facility sometime between Jan.
5-March 2.
The victim told cops that, at Park
Avenue between 2:30 pm on the fi rst
date and 4:15 pm on the second, the
scoundrel snagged the custom burgundy
Gibson guitar worth $10,000.
Desert scam
A shyster scammed an elderly
Washington Avenue woman out of
more than $88,000 between July and
March 5.
The victim, 79, told police that
the huckster called her over and
told her to send $88,626 in checks
over eight months, claiming she’d
won a sweepstakes in Nevada.
A local sheriff from the Silver State
alerted the victim that she had fallen
prey to a network of fraudsters.

HOOK
Door dash
Some bandits kicked down a
door of a Presidents Street house
and stole a bike and shoes sometime
between March 8 and March 9.
The victim told cops that the burglars
knocked down the door and
the doorframe of his house between
Clinton and Court streets and ran
off with his $1,000 bike and packages
containing running shoes and
a blazer worth $260 total sometime
between 6:30 pm on March 8 and
9:30 am on March 9.
Porch pirate
A good-for-nothing stole two
packages from outside a Strong
Place house on March 3.
The victim told cops that the
sneak thief made off with the boxes
containing $72 worth of art supplies
and $103 worth of clothing from in
front of the house on the corner of
Kane Street at around 1:15 am.

Firefi ghters rescued a woman
trapped by thick smoke and
heavy fi re during a blaze at a
Bensonhurst home on Thursday
afternoon.
Fire Department sources said
the inferno ignited at about 3:45
pm inside a two-story dwelling
along 83rd Street near Stillwell
Avenue.
More than 12 FDNY units and
60 fi refi ghters responded to the
blaze and, upon arriving at the
scene, the fi rst units encountered
heavy smoke.
While searching the building,
they came across the resident, a
woman who had lost consciousness
as a result of the blaze. They
were able to pull her from the fi re
and transfer her to EMS units,
frantically performing CPR to
bring her back to life.
Paramedics brought the
woman to NYU Langone-Brooklyn,
where she was listed in serious
but stable condition.
Firefi ghters used three hose
lines to knock the fi re under control
at about 4:45 pm. The cause
of the fi re is unknown, and under
investigation by FDNY marshals.
