“The GIF Elevator”
Ongoing exhibit
The internet has revolutionized the idea of “the moving
image,” as this installation shows. In this ongoing exhibit,
visitors are immersed GIFs from six different artists
inside the museum's elevator. The pictures are on the
walls and ceiling of the elevator, a unique encounter for
viewers. Come experience the looping images seen online
every day in a new way.

“Queens International 2018: Volumes”
Running October 7 through February 24
The eighth biennial Queens International exhibition is
entitled Volumes. It focuses on local artists’ reaction to
the museum as well as select branches of the Queens
Library. Come experience different artistic takes on what
Volumes means at this exhibit.

“Printed Matter’s NY Art Book Fair 2018”
September 21-23, Preview September 20
Check out artists’ books from around the world
at MoMA PS1 in Long Island City. The book
fair will feature 365 exhibitors with zines,
artists’ books, contemporary art editions and
more. There will also be free educational
programming, including panel discussions, book
talks, plays, films and readings. The opening
preview will include live music and limited
edition art by Ryan Gander.
