Man sought for failed Ridgewood burglary suspect

Cops are looking
for the crook who attempted
to break into a
Ridgewood apartment
building earlier this
month.
Police said the
unidentified suspect
climbed on top of the
roof at 563 Onderdonk
Ave. just before 8 p.m.
on Oct. 15. He then
pulled the latch of a
rooftop skylight to gain
entry into an adjacent
apartment building,
police said.
The suspect was not

able to gain entry into
any apartments and fled the location,
according to authorities.

Cops seek three in connection with shooting

Police are looking for three persons
of interest who may be connected
with a shooting in Jamaica that
left a teenager injured on Monday.
According to authorities, at 3:55
p.m. on Oct. 28, a 16-year-old girl
was in front of a residence on 161st
Street near 89th Avenue when she
heard shots fired. She was subsequently
shot in the left shoulder by
an unknown individual, who ultimately
fled the location on foot.
EMS took the victim was transported
to Long Island Jewish Medical
Center, where she remains in
stable condition. No firearm was recovered
from the scene.
Police released video of the persons
of interest on Oct. 29.
The suspects are described as
black men, each with a thin build and
believed to be in their teens to early
20s. Two of the suspects were last
seen wearing black hooded sweatshirts
and dark-colored pants, and
the third man was last seen wearing
a red jacket with white sleeves.

Crook steals tools from construction sites

Police are looking for a burglar
who allegedly stole thousands of dollars
worth of tools from multiple construction
sites in Long Island City
and Astoria.
According to the NYPD, the first
incident took place on Sept. 30, when,
at 2:50 a.m., the suspect entered a construction
site at 40-09 21st St. Once
inside, the crook stole approximately
$7,000 worth of Dewalt tools before
fleeing in unknown direction.
The suspect struck again at 4 p.m.
on Oct. 3. At this time, the suspect
entered through the door of a construction
site located at 30-17 23rd St.
The crook proceeded to damage two
tool boxes and took $10,000 worth of
tools before fleeing in an unknown
direction.
At 5:30 p.m. the next day, the suspect
hit another construction site,
located at 23-10 30th Drive, by damaging
the front door and chain. Once
inside, the thief took a Dewalt generator,
shovels, pick axes and hammer.
He then fled the scene in an unknown
direction.
Finally, at 7 a.m. on Oct. 12, the
suspect broke into a construction site
located at 37-10 10th St. by unknown
means. Once inside, the suspect took
$2,500 worth of Hilti tools before fleeing
in unknown direction.
The NYPD released footage of the
suspect taken from the first incident.

Cambria Heights
Police hunt two in Cambria Heights Library attack

The NYPD released video that
reveals a pair of teens attacking a
79-year-old man outside of a Cambria
Heights library earlier this
month.
Police say that the assault took
place at 11:15 a.m. on Oct. 10. Authorities
say that at this time, the
suspects chased the elderly victim
in front of the Queens Public Library’s
Cambria Heights branch,
located at 218-13 Linden Blvd., and
began to punch and kick the victim
in the face and ribs.
The victim suffered a broken femur
and ribs, as well as substantial
pain, as a result of the incident.
Police released footage of the
suspects, described as black men between
the ages of 17 and 19 years old,
beating up the victim.
