Woman pummels straphanger in Jax Hgts

Cops are looking for
a woman who attacked a
fellow commuter while
changing trains in Jackson
Heights earlier this month.
According to police, at
3:15 p.m. on Sept. 10, a 67-
year-old woman was inside
the Roosevelt Avenue—
Jackson Heights subway
station. As she was changing
trains, she got into a
dispute with an unknown woman.
The dispute escalated, and the unknown
woman proceeded to punch the
victim multiple times in the face before
fleeing the scene. At this time, it
is not immediately clear what started
the argument between the suspect and
the victim.
The victim sustained bruising to
her face as a result of the attack. EMS
responded to the location, however the
victim refused medical attention at the
scene.
On Sept. 25, the NYPD released the
following photo of the suspect:

Astoria
Man impersonates cop in Astoria assault

Cops are searching for the crook who
allegedly impersonated an undercover
police officer before assaulting a motorist
in Astoria last month.
According to authorities, the 38-yearold
male victim exited his vehicle, along
with another male driver at the intersection
of Hoyt Avenue North and 26th
Street at 4:15 a.m. on Aug. 24 and engaged
in a verbal dispute.
As the dispute escalated, the driver
of the second vehicle displayed a badge
and identified himself as an “undercover
cop,” police said. The victim tried to take
a photo of the vehicle’s license plate when
the perp slapped the cellphone out of the
victim’s hand, punched the victim, and
damaged the victim’s side view mirror.
When the phone fell to the ground,
a second suspect picked it up. Both suspects
returned to their vehicle and drove
off, according to authorities.
EMS arrived at the scene and transported
the victim to Mount Sinai Hospital
Queens, where he was treated and
released.
Police describe both suspects as Hispanic
and in their mid-to-late 20’s, each
with facial hair and medium builds.
The vehicle operator who allegedly
impersonated an officer was wearing
a dark-colored T-shirt and blue jeans,
while the passenger was wearing a white
T-shirt and jeans, according to authorities

Woodside
Cops find two men dead in Woodside park

The NYPD is investigating the
deaths of two men who were found in
Woodside early Monday morning.
Police say that at 4:12 a.m. on
Sept. 30, officers from the 108th Precinct
responded to a 911 call regarding
an unconscious man at Sabba
Park, located at 49-12 Queens Blvd.
Upon their arrival, cops found two
unknown men, ages 35 and 38, unconscious
and unresponsive with no
apparent signs of trauma.
EMS rushed to the location and declared
the victims dead at the scene.
Their identities have been withheld
pending proper family notification.
Sources familiar with the investigation
indicated that the deaths appear
to be an overdose, however the
medical examiner will determine the
cause of death for each victim.
No arrests have been made at
this time and the investigation is
ongoing.

Bayside
Bayside bicycle thief faces multiple charges

A Bayside man who was wanted for
a bicycle theft was arrested by officers
from the 111th Precinct this week.
Justin Orlando, 29, was arrested
on Sept. 25 in connection not just to
the bicycle theft, which took place at
9 p.m. on Sept. 5 near 41st Avenue and
Bell Boulevard, but also for a series of
burglaries around the neighborhood.
Authorities say that at on Sept.
25, Orlando allegedly unlawfully
remained a fenced off area of
D’Alessandro’s Corner Grill, located
at 39-35 Bell Blvd., and tried to forcibly
enter the building through the back
door and caused damage to the door.
Orlando then allegedly gained access
to the front office area of a building
located at 42-40 Bell Blvd. and ransacked
it, taking a cellphone charger.
Police arrested Orlando at 8:40 p.m.
that day. Upon his arrest, Orlando allegedly
was in possession of a credit
card that was reported stolen from the
second location.
Orlando was charged with two
counts of burglary, two counts of
criminal trespassing, petit larceny
and criminal possession of stolen
property.
