A senior man died of his injuries
this week after he was struck by a car
in Flushing.
According to police, at 8:35 a.m. on
Dec. 18 the NYPD responded to a 911
call regarding at pedestrian struck
on Sanford Avenue near Main Street.
Upon their arrival, officers found 67-
year-old Zhisheng Lin lying on the
roadway with head trauma.
An investigation found that Lin was
walking on the sidewalk westbound

on Sanford Avenue when the 69-yearold
driver of a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta,
who was also traveling westbound on
Sanford Avenue, made a right turn
to enter a parking garage on Sanford
Avenue. As he was turning, the driver
hit Lin, who was knocked into the
roadway.
EMS rushed Lin to NewYork-Presbyterian
Hospital/Queens, where he
ultimately died of his injuries on Dec.
19.
No arrests have been made at this
time. The investigation is ongoing.

Thief swipes credit card in Middle Village

Cops are looking
for a woman who stole
someone’s credit card in
Middle Village and used
it at a video game shop in
Brooklyn.
According to police, at
3 p.m. on Dec. 8, a 36-yearold
woman was shopping
at BJ’s Wholesale, located
at 66-26 Metropolitan
Ave., when she left
her wallet unattended in
her shopping cart. It was
later discovered that an
unknown woman used
the other woman’s credit
card to make $200 worth
of unauthorized purchases

at a GameStop store, located at 368
Knickerbocker Ave.
The suspect fled in unknown direction
after making her purchases.
On Dec. 17, the NYPD released video
of the suspect leaving the GameStop.

Cops are looking for a crook who
robbed two women in St. Albans just
hours apart from each other this past
weekend.
Police say that at 1:55 a.m. on Dec.
15, a 66-year-old woman was walking
in the vicinity of Mexico Street and
Dormans Road when an unknown
man approached her from behind and
shoved her into the pavement while
demanding her property.
The suspect proceeded to take the
victim’s purse, which contained her
cellphone and $18, and then fled the
scene westbound on Mexico Street.
At 6:43 p.m. that same day, the suspect
approached a 37-year-old woman
who was walking in the vicinity
of Foch Boulevard and Everitt Place.
The suspect tried to grab the victim’s
purse, and when she refused to hand
it over, the crook dragged her into the
street.
The suspect knocked the victim
down to the ground and continued to
pull at the purse, however he ultimately
fled empty-handed when she yelled
out for help.
On Dec. 17, the NYPD released video
of the suspect taken from the second
incident.

Two sought for knifepoint robbery in Bayside

Cops are looking for a duo who
robbed an Uber driver at knifepoint in
Bayside.
According to police, at 2:05 a.m. on
Dec. 21, a 27-year-old man was working
for Uber on 216th Street near 38th
Avenue when two unknown men entered
his car.
The suspects proceeded to pull out
a knife and forcibly took the driver’s
cellphone.
The crooks then fled the scene
northbound on 216th Street with approximately
$850 worth of property.
The suspects are described as 25-
year-old men with dark complexions,
one who was last seen wearing darkcolored
clothing and the other last
seen wearing a red jacket.
The investigation is ongoing.
