Leah Abay, Thank You For Coming Out
Podcast welcomes dancer, youth advocate with many pronouns
BY PAUL SCHINDLER
In this week’s episode of
the Gay City News podcast
“Thank You For Coming
Out,” creator and host Dubbs
Weinblatt (they/ them/ theirs) welcomes
Leah Abay (they/ she/ he),
who is currently pursuing their
Master’s in Social Work at NYU. He
hails from Akron, Ohio, where they
completed their Bachelor’s of Fine
Arts in Dance Performance and
then performed professionally for
two years. Since relocating to New
York in 2016, she has had the pleasure
of working with homeless LGBTQ
youth as a volunteer and as a
part of his graduate degree. They
graduate in May of 2020, and their
dream job is to become a genderaffi
rming clinician. She loves oat
milk iced lattes and when folks incorporate
all of their pronouns into
one sentence!
Leah Abay.

name, pairs them as host with
lesbian, gay, trans, bi, non-binary,
