 Daniel Wnukowski — Polish- 
 Canadian pianist Daniel  
 Wnukowski will perform at  
 Queens College for the Karol  
 Rathaus Festival, which honors  
 the musician’s work. Rathaus,  
 the college’s fi rst professor of  
 composition had a fl ourishing  
 career in Berlin. However, in  
 1932 he had to fl ee the country  
 due to political circumstances  
 in Germany. He will perform the  
 composer’s Piano Concerto with  
 The Orchestra Now under Leon  
 Botstein in LeFrak Concert Hall  
 at Queens College. The festival  
 also includes the 1936 British  
 drama Broken Blossoms and a  
 lecture by Grammy awardwinning  
 record producer Dr.  
 Michael Haas.
