Robbers hit Hell’s Kitchen bodega at
gunpoint, steal cash and tip jar: cops

Cops are looking for two
thieves who struck a Hell’s
Kitchen grocery store at
gunpoint over the weekend, stealing
not only cash from the register but
also the tip jar for employees.
The NYPD released video on Dec.
8 of the heist, which took place at
6:15 a.m. on Dec. 5 inside the Westfi
eld Market Place at 686 10th Ave.,
at the corner of West 48th Street.
The video shows the two crooks
walking into the shop and immediately
confronting the 17-year-old male clerk
behind the counter. One of the suspects
pulled out a handgun and demanded cash.
Cops said the employee provided the
pair with about $100 in cash out of the
register. The video shows the gun-toting
perpetrator grabbing the plastic tip jar off
the counter while heading out the door
with his partner.
Offi cers from the Midtown North Precinct
responded to the incident. No injuries
were reported.

Suspect sought for shooting
man in face on Lower East Side

A 34-year-old man
on the Lower East Side of
Manhattan Thursday night,
according to police.
At approximately 9:36
p.m. on Dec. 3, offi cers
from the 5th Precinct responded
fired within the Alfred
Smith Houses property at
15 St. James Place.
Arriving on the scene,
the offi cers discovered that
a man had been shot after
an altercation. The bullet
grazed the victim’s mouth,
leaving him wounded.
Cops said he was
later transported by private
means to NewYork-Presbyterian
Hospital and listed in stable
condition.

Detectives are looking
for the bunny backpack
toting assailant
who attacked a man from
behind on a Midtown street
last month.
The NYPD released on Dec.
4 video footage of the assault,
which occurred at 6:40 p.m.
on Nov. 21 in front of a cafe at
407 West 42nd St.
Law enforcement sources
said the suspect approached
the 47-year-old man from behind
near the cafe and struck
him in the back of the head
with an unidentifi ed object.
Following the assault, the
perpetrator fl ed on foot eastbound
on West 42nd Street
toward 9th Avenue.

Offi cers from the 10th Precinct
and EMS units responded
to the incident. Paramedics
brought the victim to Bellevue
Hospital in stable condition.
Police described the
perpetrator as a man with a
dark complexion and a medium
build between 20 and
30 years of age. He was last
seen wearing a white hat with
black-and-red lettering on the
front, a dark face mask, darkcolored
hooded sweatshirt, a
green jacket, ripped light blue
jeans and dark boots.
He also carried a small
white backpack in the shape
of a rabbit.

No arrests have been
made, and the investigation
is ongoing.

Armed trio robs man of
electronics during gunpoint
robbery in Gramercy

Cops are looking for a trio who
robbed a man on a Gramercy
street on Wednesday night.
Authorities say that at 10:47 p.m.
on Dec. 2, the NYPD responded to a
911 call regarding a robbery near Park
Avenue and East 23rd Street. Upon
their arrival, offi cers were informed
by a 26-year-old man that he was
approached by three unknown men
while he was walking in the area.
The trio pointed a fi rearm at the
victim and forcibly took his electronics.
The suspects then fl ed the scene
to parts unknown. The victim was not
injured as a result.
The suspects are described as men
in their twenties with dark complexions.
They were last seen wearing
dark-colored clothing.
