Guiding Manhattanites to the
Hamptons’ best properties

If you’re in need of a Hamptons
home, Chris Foglia is your go-to
agent.
As a real estate broker, Foglia made
it his mission to know the ins and outs
of Hamptons real estate. Foglia has
been in the real estate business for
29 years, making a name for himself
in the Hamptons market, building up
amazing customer service skills while
familiarizing himself with the area, as
well as waterfront regulations, building
codes and FEMA standards.
“My wife was doing it before that,”
recalled Foglia. “I was helping her for
years before I started in real estate
myself, so I have been involved in the
business for over 30 years.”
Though his focus is primarily on
the East End of Long Island, he knows
that plenty of clients from Manhattan
“truly appreciate the quiet and privacy
that the Hamptons have to offer.”
“After spending most of the year in
the hustle and bustle of the city, spending
the summer on the beach here is
exactly the escape they are looking
for,” he said. “Growing up in Queens,
Manhattan was always the best place
to go for all kinds of entertainment
and the Hamptons were the place to go
in the summer torelax and recharge.
Now residing here full time, possibly
my favorite part of selling real estate in
the Hamptons is helping my Manhattan
customers find the perfect home to
spend their restful summers in.”
Foglia joined the team at Compass
in May 2020 amid the coronavirus
pandemic. Though the lockdown
had been in full swing by the time he
joined on, Foglia was able to use his
skills to get people into homes in the
Hamptons.
Prior to the pandemic, Foglia saw
that buying a home in the Hamptons
was more of a “want” rather than a
“need” for many of his clients.
“For years, it’s always been a second
home market,” said Foglia. “In the last
28-29 years, only a few sold houses
were for a year-round home, it’s almost
always a secondary home.”
However, amid the pandemic,
Foglia saw those needs shift.
“The pandemic created a need and
a buyer who was motivated to buy
not just a summer home, but needed
an escape,” said Foglia. “It filled the
void we already needed and churned
desire into a necessity. The market in
the Hamptons just exploded, everyone
wanted to be here.”
During his time at Compass, Foglia
has sold a number of Hamptons
homes. One of his listings included 29
Shore Road in Remsenburg. This five
bedroom home sold for $1.9 million in
May 2021.
The home is a Hamptons delight,
complete with an in-ground pool, a
brand new kitchen with Viking appliances,
and multiple living areas with
fireplaces. The home is also within
walking distance of the bay and the
Westhampton Yacht Squadron.
Also, in October 2020 Foglia sold
38 Library Avenue in Westhampton
Beach for $4 million. This rare find is
less than half a mile from both the Village
and the beach, a heated in-ground
pool, an all-weather tennis court, and
a raised-bed vegetable garden with
deer fencing.
Right now, Foglia is selling a hot
property at 113 Dune Road, which is
on the market for $9.5 million.
Another great Westhampton Beach
find, 113 Dune Road is situated between
the bridges on over an acre with
112 feet of oceanfront, a must-have for
any Hamptons buyer. The two-story
home features six bedrooms, four
bathrooms, an open floor plan with a
kitchen and a living room with ocean
views, a spacious dining area and den,
and an attached four-car garage.
The home also features a heated,
in-ground pool with a deck and poolside
cabana, central air, and a walkway
leading right up to the beach.
Though the market is unlike anything
we have seen before as a result
of the pandemic, Foglia remains optimistic
about the future of Hamptons
real estate.
“The Hamptons are really popular
right now. I don’t see it changing anytime
soon,” said Foglia.
