 Detectives need the public’s help in  
 fi nding an assailant who stabbed  
 a 70-year-old man in the buttocks  
 during a fi ght on board a subway train at  
 the Union Square station. 
 Law enforcement sources said the attack  
 occurred at 9:50 p.m. on July 2 on board a  
 Downtown-bound 6 train as it approached  
 the Union Square stop.

 Suspect cuffed for slashing 2-yearold  
 boy near Morningside Park

 Detectives  have  booked  the  
 heartless attacker who slashed  
 a 2-year-old boy’s face in Morningside  
 Park for no apparent reason on  
 July 1. 
 Anthony Gonzalez, 35, of West 107th  
 Street was charged Friday with felony assault  
 and criminal possession of a weapon  
 for the unprovoked attack. 
 Police sources said an anonymous tip  
 to the Crime Stoppers hotline led detectives  
 to Gonzalez, whom they picked up  
 late on Thursday night. 
 Cops  said  the  random  assault  took  
 place at 9:30 a.m. on July 1 in the area of  
 West 110th Street and Morningside Drive  
 in Manhattan. 
 According to law enforcement sources,  
 Gonzalez allegedly approached the child  
 as the youngster walked with his mother  
 along West 110th Street. Without warning  
 or  reason,  cops  said,  the  suspect  
 sliced the boy’s face with an unknown  
 sharp object. 
 victim got  into  a  verbal dispute  for  unknown  
 reasons.  The  argument  turned  
 violent when the perpetrator pulled out a  
 sharp object and stabbed the senior man in  
 the left buttocks. 
 Following the attack, the suspect fl ed the  
 station in an unknown direction. 
 Offi cers from the 13th Precinct and the  
 NYPD Transit Bureau were alerted to the  
 incident. The victim was treated at a local  
 hospital. 
 On  July 4,  the NYPD  released video  
 footage of  the suspect  inside  the Union  
 Square station. He’s described as a man  
 with a light complexion between 16 and  
 18 years of age, with a thin build. He was  
 last seen wearing a purple du-rag on his  
 head as well as a black hooded sweatshirt, a  
 white shirt with a multi-colored picture on  
 the front, black pants and black sneakers.

 Following the attack, police reported,  
 Gonzalez  allegedly  fl ed  on  foot westbound  
 along West 110th Street. 
 The incident was reported to the 26th  
 Precinct. EMS units removed the boy to  
 Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital, where  
 he  received  treatment  for  a  laceration  
 above his right eye. 
 On  July 2,  the NYPD  released  two  
 videos of the perpetrator as he ran from  
 the scene. One of the videos shows the  
 suspect running away while attempting  
 to cover his face with his t-shirt.

 Cops are looking for a pair of crooks  
 who  beat  and  robbed  a  man  in  
 a  Midtown  subway  station  on  
 Tuesday. 
 According to police, at 4:30 p.m. on July  
 7, a 41-year-old man was waiting on the  
 mezzanine level of the ‘A/C/E’ line at the  
 42nd Street-Port Authority subway station  
 when he was approached by two unknown  
 men. An  argument  ensued,  resulting  in  
 one of the suspects punching the victim  
 throughout his body. 
 The  fi rst  suspect  proceeded  to  slash  
 the victim with a razor while the second  
 suspect  snatched $40  from the victim’s  
 SoHo looters sought for stealing  
 $1.5 million in merchandise from shop

 More  than  a  month  after  looters  
 raided stores across SoHo during  
 the George Floyd protests, cops are  
 still looking for the selfi sh thieves who took  
 advantage of the unrest for their own gain. 
 The NYPD released on July 3 video footage  
 of some looters who helped steal more  
 than $1.5 million in merchandise from the  
 Celine clothing store on the night of May 31. 
 According to law enforcement sources,  
 someone hurled a brick through a window of  
 the high-end, women’s apparel store, located  
 at 67 Wooster St., at about 11:02 p.m. that  
 evening. 
 After breaching the window, several men  
 and women got inside the shop and removed  
 approximately $1,511,000 in merchandise.  
 The video that police released shows the  
 pilferers walking through an inventory area  
 of the store, with some grabbing items off the  
 shelves or on the fl oor. 
 Numerous businesses in SoHo, the East  
 Village and Lower Manhattan were looted  
 and/or vandalized between May 30 and June  
 pockets.  The  suspects  then fl ed  the  
 scene to parts unknown. 
 The victim sustained bruising to his  
 face and a minor laceration to his lip  
 but refused medical attention at the  
 scene. 
 The NYPD released photos of the  
 two men, both of whom are described  
 as 20-year-old men with a dark complexion  
 and  a  slim  build.  The  fi rst  
 suspect, described as having brown  
 eyes, short dark hair, standing 5 feet, 8  
 inches and weighing 150 pounds, was last  
 seen wearing eyeglasses, black sweatpants,  
 a white t-shirt, a surgical mask and black  
 sneakers. The second suspect, described  
 as having brown eyes, short braided dark  
 hair, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 160  
 pounds, was last seen black sweatpants, a  
 white t-shirt and black sneakers.
