Money-hungry robber
swipes woman’s cash
at Chelsea grocery store

Detectives are looking for the
thief who recently robbed a
woman of her cash inside a
grocery store in Chelsea.
The NYPD released on Monday
night video footage of the crook
behind the caper that took place at 4
p.m. on May 8 inside the City Gourmet
Market at 338 8th Ave.
According to law enforcement
sources, the suspect approached a
28-year-old woman and asked her for
money. When she refused his request,
cops said, he reached inside her jacket
and removed $300 in cash, then fl ed
the location in an unknown direction.
The robbery was reported to the
10th Precinct.

Two men sought for an
early-morning Manhattan
shooting that left one man injured

Police are looking for a pair of
suspects who were involved in
an early-morning shooting in
Manhattan.
Authorities say that at 12:27 a.m.
on May 12, the NYPD responded to
a call of a man shot at a building in
the Grant Houses, located at 1315
Amsterdam Avenue. Upon their arrival,
offi cers were informed that a

for the assailant who
slashed a 45-year-old
woman’s face after failing to
strike up a conversation with
her at a Manhattan train station
last week.
Police released on May 7 a
photo of the man involved in
the attack that occurred at 9
p.m. on May 4 inside the 23rd
Street station on the A/C/E
line in Chelsea.
According to law enforcement
sources, the victim stood
in the turnstile area of the station
when the perpetrator approached
and tried to engage
her in a conversation.
When the woman declined
to speak with him, cops said,
the suspect pulled out a sharp
object and sliced her left

Armed robber used dating app to
ambush man at Manhattan hotel

Cops are looking for the
armed suspect who met
a man through a dating
app then robbed him at gunpoint
at a Manhattan hotel
last week.
Law enforcement sources
said the caper took place at
7 p.m. on May 5 at the Four
Points by Sheraton Midtown
West, located near the corner
of West 35th Street and
10th Avenue.
A source familiar with
the investigation said that
the 33-year-old victim connected
with the suspect on
the Grindr dating app and
arranged for an encounter
there.

for treatment.
Police did not release a
physical description of the
