Theft from car
in East Village
Police said they are looking for a man
who stole thousands of dollars out of
an unlocked car in the East Village on
Monday, March 9.
Around 9:53 a.m., a 23-year-old
male victim reported to the police that
an unknown person allegedly entered
a parked vehicle that was unoccupied
and unlocked near East 13 Street and
First Avenue, and then took $10,000,
offi cials said.
The man, wanted for grand larceny,
then fl ed the location.

Man sought for
attacking senior
A man is wanted for assaulting a 73-
year-old man while walking outside,
police said.
On Wednesday, Feb. 26, around
10:30 a.m., the alleged attacker approached
the victim while walking at
the corner of Second Avenue and East
10th Street, then punched and kicked
him in the face, according to offi cials.
The victim sustained a laceration to
his hip and head, and the attacker fl ed
on foot, police said.

Phone snatcher
on East 9th St.
Police said they’re looking for a cell
phone thief after an incident in the East
Village in front of 233 East 9th Street.
On March 2, around 6 p.m., a man
allegedly snatched a cell phone from a
26-year-old woman as they walked past
each other, police said.

Burglar climbs
up fire escape
Police said they are looking for a
man in connection with an apartment
burglary near Ninth Avenue and 38th
Street, on Tuesday, March 10.
Around 11:10 p.m., a man allegedly
entered the apartment of a 30-year-old
male, by climbing a roll-down security
gate and gaining access to the front fi re
escape unlocked window, according to
offi cials.
Once inside, the man allegedly took
two Apple laptops and an iPhone before
fl eeing.

Apt. burglary
Police are looking for a suspect after
an alleged apartment burglary near
19th Street and 10th Avenue, offi cials
said.
On Feb. 17, around 4 a.m., a man allegedly
entered the apartment by prying
open the security door, then took
packages stored in the mailbox area.
He then fl ed in an unknown direction.

Shoplifter attacks
A man is wanted for assaulting a
Gristede’s employee at 225 Ninth Ave.,
police said.
On Thursday, March 4, around
11:55 p.m., a man was allegedly seen
shoplifting, and when confronted by an
employee, he dropped the stolen items
and left the store without taking anything,
according to offi cials.
The man returned to the store a short
time later, police said, and allegedly
threw an object at the employee, causing
injury, then ran out of the store.

Late night mug
on East 12th St.
A man is sought for allegedly attacking
and robbing a woman late at
night on East 12th Street and Second
Avenue, police said.
On Sunday, March 1, around
2 a.m., a female victim, 25, was
Subway creep bashed woman’s head

Cops are looking for a man who
inappropriately made contact
with a woman and struck her
in the head on the 4 train in Manhattan
last week.
The NYPD released pictures on
Sunday of the suspect wanted for the
attack, which occurred at 7:50 a.m.
on March 10 near the 14th Street-
Union Square station.
According to police reports, the
man “rubbed himself” against the
32-year-old victim on a southbound 4
train. The victim attempted to move
away from the man, but he proceeded
to hit her in the back of the head.
After confronting him, the victim
exited the train at 14 Street/Union
Square station while her attacker
stayed onboard. She suffered a concussion
as a result of the man’s actions.
The incident was reported to the
13th Precinct and NYPD Transit Bureau.
Cops described the suspect a white
man in his 40s who was last seen
wearing a blue shirt, a gray jacket,
dark-colored pants and dark-colored
shoes.
Anyone with information pertaining
to the incident is asked to call the
walking east when a stranger allegedly
approached from behind and
forcibly took her purse by pushing
the woman to the ground, officials
said.
The purse contained a cell phone
and credit cards. The alleged robber
then fled on foot.
No injuries were reported from
the incident, according to officials.

That’s a 40.9% increase from last
year at this time, according to NYPD
composite statistics.
Firebug lights up trash on East Side

Cops are looking for a suspect who set
multiple fi res in Manhattan this month.
According to police, at 1:25 a.m. on
March 4, an unknown man set a fi re in the
dumpster behind University Neighborhood
High School, located at 200 Monroe Street.
There were no injuries and no structural damage.
The pattern continued on March 8. At 1 a.m.
that day, the suspect set several fi res in either
trash cans, dumpsters or rubbish left out for pick up in proximity of one another
near Henry Street, Madison Street, Monroe Street and Gouverneur Street.
