Photo of the Month
BY JILL DAVIS
Rob Cohen’s picture was selected as Photo of the Month
in November, and now he’s made it two in a row for his
beautiful photo of a rainbow over the bridge (don’t let it
get to your head, Rob.). But hey, we all need a rainbow now
and then to make us smile!
Honorable Mention goes to Marsha Gellert for her
timely picture of seagulls on the river on Thanksgiving
Eve (the caption of the photo is hers!). She included it with
her other lovely photos of our fantastic property. Thanks,
Marsha! Thanks also go to Michael Conte and Joe Hollander
for their dramatic pictures that capture all different
times of day.
We’ve now reached December and the farewell to another
challenging year. These days, we don’t know what
the weather will bring. A dry, mild winter (we hope); a
horrid snowstorm (Heaven forbid); something in between
(where’s the Farmer’s Almanac?). Remember that days
will remain short until the winter solstice on December
21, after which we’ll start seeing sunset a little later, minute
by minute.
Whatever the case, please be ready to take some pictures
and send them on in. They’re especially welcome these
days. Thank you all.
A reminder about the contest rules:
The photographer must be a resident of Cryder
Point, and all photos must of the property or of a view
from the property. They also must be current, that is,
taken no more than a couple of months before you
submit them.
Any description of where you were on the property,
the day of week or time of day…any details that you
can provide which bring your neighbors into the moment
of the photo…are eagerly welcomed.
Submit your pictures to jdavis@qns.com and yours
might be selected to be featured in the paper. Please
be sure to put “Cryder Point Photo” in the subject
line of your email and include the full name of the
