C R Y D E R P O I N T 4NOVEMBER Message from the Board President Hello everyone, First, a brief update on the seawall: I know many of you have been waiting for a Shareholders’ Meeting to present the details of the project, and thank you for your continued patience. As reported in the last issue, the Board voted to award the project to SeaCoast Construction and as of this writing, contracts are being finalized between our and their attorney before a start date can be finalized. We do not want to hold a meeting until we have all of the i’s dotted and t’s crossed to make sure that we can share complete information to everyone. A meeting will be announced as soon as possible which, barring any unforeseen circumstances will be before Thanksgiving. Speaking of Thanksgiving, it’s the best day of the year, if you ask me! We have a few recipes in this month’s issue from fellow shareholders for you to try. These are tried-and-true recipes that I’m sure all will enjoy. But food aside, I’d like to take a moment to talk about Thanksgiving. They say that being on a Board is a thankless job. I hear this all the time and frankly, I beg to differ. All of us on the Board are committed to the improvement of our beautiful community, and we don’t do our work for the thanks. Nevertheless, more often than you’d think, someone will randomly come up to one of us and say thanks. It’s almost always unexpected, and will happen in the elevator or in the lobby or out in the driveway. I will say on behalf of the Board that we don’t expect it, but we do deeply appreciate it. So let me say in return, thank you, and wish everyone at Cryder Point a wonderful Thanksgiving. Jill Davis IMPORTANT CONTACTS Publisher & Editor Victoria Schneps-Yunis Associate Publisher Joshua A.
