COVID-19 REMINDERS
JUNE 2021
Most mask mandates have been lifted for fully vaccinated
individuals in NYS and NYC.
The NY Department of Health “strongly recommends masks
and six feet of social distancing in indoor settings where
vaccination status of individuals is unknown,” and businesses
and facilities are permitted to continue to require masks.
At Cryder Point Face coverings are NOT optional in interior
common areas
For those fully vaccinated:
President’s Message
Covid Vaccine Update
As of June 1, NYC reported that
approximately 43% of NYC residents
have been fully vaccinated.
Queens is outpacing the total a
bit, with 47% of residents fully
vaccinated, and another 9%
having received at least one dose.
So we’re getting there, slowly but
surely.
As most know, the CDC issued revised
guidelines in May, loosening most
mask mandates. Notably, however, the NYC
Dept. of Health issued a statement on May 21
advising that “if you live in a facility that has
shared kitchens, bathrooms or other common
spaces, wear a face covering when you leave
your apartment or room. The facility may require
face coverings in shared spaces, even if
you are fully vaccinated.”
The key here is “other common spaces.” I
know we have been very conservative at Cryder
Point regarding the wearing of masks in
indoor common areas. Everyone’s cooperation
is greatly appreciated as we move cautiously
and in the hope that restrictions can be eased
soon as more people are vaccinated. We all
want to toss the masks—please know that this
issue is being monitored closely. Any updates
will be posted as soon as possible.
Visit cdc.org or nyc.gov for more information,
and please continue to follow Cryder
Point’s Covid protocols. Thank you.
2021 Annual Shareholders’ Meeting
As previously announced, the Annual
Shareholders’ Meeting will be held in the
01/21 Courtyard. The date has been set for
Thursday, August 21. Details to follow.
Board Officer Appointments
I am pleased to announce that Dorene Finnegan
has accepted the position of Treasurer
for Cryder Point. Dorene joined the Board
in January of 2020 and was elected to a twoyear
term last summer. Her long career as a
senior-level banker is invaluable experience,
combining financial expertise along with significant
managerial skills.
John Naegele will take on the role of Assistant
Treasurer. John is a certified financial
planner and tax accountant and
recently joined forces with a few of
his number-crunching colleagues
to start their own business (congratulations,
John!). A long-standing
member of the Board who has
provided critical support to CPOC’s
financial management, John will
provide key input to the corporation’s
long-term planning and development of
the annual budget.
Both appointments are effective immediately,
and we thank Dorene and John for their
continued work on the Board.
Important: Co-op Lease Extension Reminder
– Submit Your Ballot!
As explained, the co-op needs a minimum
of 75% of shares voting in favor of the lease
extension to take effect. We are close but not
quite there yet! This extension is extremely
important for buyers to obtain financing
and shareholders who wish to refinance.
Reminders have been sent to those who
have not yet returned their ballot. Please
return your ballot to Management as soon
as possible.
BuildingLink Reminder: Sign Up Today!
Approximately 2/3 of apartments have registered
with BuildingLink, but not all have activated
their accounts. Those of you who have
active accounts are aware of the many updates
that are sent out from Management using this
tool, such as emergency repair notifications,
etc. It’s a lot faster and more efficient than using
paper notices, and everyone is urged to sign up.
Please contact Bridget Matus in the office if you
have any questions about how to get started.
Management Office Appointments Reminder
The Management Office is open Monday–
Friday from 10 am until 4 pm. Please note
that hours are now by appointment only (no
walk-ins). To schedule an appointment, please
call the office at 718-767-5003 or email Stacey
Pankavich at spankavich@cryderpoint.com or
Bridget Matus at bmatus@cryderpoint.com.
Till next time, Jill Davis

Welcome our
newest resident,
Jordan Thomas
Enright!
Cryder Point residents Michael and
Jennifer Enright welcomed the birth of
their first child, Jordan Thomas Enright,
on April 13. He weighed in at 4 pounds
13 ounces, but don’t let his bantam
weight fool you. Just a few weeks later,
Jennifer reported that “he is growing
so quickly and has gained 3 pounds already!”
Based on the photos here, he’s
In case you’re not sure of his name…
definitely going to grow up to be one
handsome guy.
The proud parents are thrilled.
“Mommy and Daddy are so in love with
him,” Jennifer said, “and we can’t wait for
everyone to meet him at the pool!” No
doubt there will be a lot of members lining
up to introduce themselves to Jordan
at his Cryder Point debut.
Congratulations to Michael and Jennifer.
Everyone at Cryder Point wishes
you and Jordan millions of happy and
healthy blessings!
