4 C R Y D E R P O I N T JANUARY Message from the Board President Hello everyone, Two down, one to go! I’m referring to the balcony project, of course! As everyone can see, work has been completed on the 21 Building balconies, and so we look forward to the last and final phase of the project. Work on the 01 Building will begin in the spring, which means that by this time next year, we will be finished! But of course since this is Cryder Point, where there’s never a dull moment, we’re starting the seawall project. And we can’t start soon enough: The Nor’easter that hit the area on December 9th resulted in additional damage to yet another section of the wall. So, we have to get moving, but before we can start the seawall, we have a pre-project: the creation of temporary parking lot built on the grounds to accommodate residents whose parking spots need to be vacated for the seawall work. As of this writing, the lot is still being worked on, but it may be completed before publication; either way, please read inside for full details on parking lot, how the Board arrived at this solution, as well as some interesting in-progress photos of the construction. Finally, on behalf of the Board, let me wish everyone all the best for the New Year. You’ll see the date for our annual New Year’s Brunch posted in Reminders…we hope you can come and join us!
