Woman robbed on
Eighth Avenue
Police said they are looking for three
men after an alleged theft in front of
322 Eighth Ave. On Thursday, Oct. 17,
around 1:45 p.m., a 25-year-old woman
was walking near the location, when
a man allegedly took her cellphone and
purse. The man then fl ed with the other
two males in an unknown direction.
Undercover drug
bust
Two men were arrested for selling
drugs to an undercover police offi -
cer, offi cials said. On Friday, Nov. 15,
around 11:45 p.m., the two men allegedly
sold a quantity of cocaine to the
offi cer at 136 Ninth Ave. A search of
the men uncovered alleged cocaine and
marijuana. Craig Defrietas, 59, and Ernest
Nelson, 56, were arrested for the
incident.
Burger joint theft by
employee
There was a theft at the Creamline
restaurant at 180 Seventh Ave., police
said. On Saturday, Nov. 16, at 3:25
p.m., an employee allegedly took $130
in cash from the register. Shyborn
Mitchell, 30, was arrested for petit larceny,
a misdemeanor.

LES man falls
asleep and robbed
in apartment
Two men are wanted for using a stolen
credit card to make big purchases,
police said. On Sept. 2, around 4 p.m.,
a 27-year-old man was with two other
men and invited them up to his apartment
near Orchard and Stanton streets
to hang out, offi cials said. The victim
fell asleep, and the two men allegedly
took his cellphone and credit card, then
used the card at a Target store at 700
Exterior St. in the Bronx, where they
bought over $12,000 worth of Apple
products.
Creep wanted for
public lewdness on
8th Street
A man is wanted by police for exposing
himself on East 8th Street, according
to police. On Thursday, Oct. 17,
around 4:35 a.m., a 35-year-old woman
was walking in front of the Dunkin’
Donuts at 52 E. 8th St., when a man
allegedly exposed his private parts,
masturbated and ejaculated in front of
her, offi cials said. The man then fl ed on
foot. There were no reported injuries,
police said.
Liquor haul with
stolen bank card
A woman’s stolen bank card was used
to purchase several bottles of liquor,
police said. On Thursday, Oct. 31, at
7:15 p.m., in front of 141 Second Ave.,
a 23-year-old female victim discovered
that her wallet had been taken from the
top of her baby stroller, offi cials said.
The wallet contained bank cards, ID
and keys. An investigation has found
surveillance images of an unknown
man allegedly using the victim’s bank
card to make an unauthorized purchase
of three bottles of Hennessey, from St.
Marks Wine and Liquor at 16 St. Marks
Place. The purchase was made around
8:45 p.m. on Oct. 31, police said.

Armed robber hits CVS pharmacy
Police need the public’s help fi nding
the suspect in the robbery of a
CVS drug store on Oct. 26.
At about 2:30 a.m., a man entered
the CVS at 272 Eighth Ave., removed
merchandise from the shelves and
tried to leave without paying, police
said. An employee confronted the suspect,
but the suspect allegedly drew a
knife and threatened the employee.
The suspect fl ed westbound on
West 25th Street on a bicycle with
$18 worth of items, police said.
No one was injured in the robbery.

72-year-old attacked on East Houston
An older woman was assaulted
while walking on East Houston
Street, according to police.
On Tuesday, Nov. 12, around 6
p.m., in front of Russ & Daughters
at 179 E. Houston St., a 72-year-old
woman was approached by another
woman, who punched her, police
said. The blow caused the victim to
fall to the ground, which can be seen
in surveillance video released by police.
The victim suffered swelling and
pain, offi cials said, but refused medical
attention.

Crooks swipe $9K in jewelry from Kay
Two men are wanted for grand larceny after a theft at Kay Jewelers, at 136
W. 34 St., according to police. On Tuesday, Oct. 22., around 3 p.m., the two
men engaged store personnel, then one of them allegedly took an engagement
ring valued at $8,999. The two men then exited the store.
