Second suspect sought for robbing
autistic teen in Chinatown

Detectives continue
to seek the second
suspect involved in
the robbery of a 14-year-old
autistic boy on a Chinatown
street last week.
According to authorities,
at 11:30 a.m. on Nov.
13 two men, including
35-year-old Charles Destefano,
held a 14-year-old boy
against a scaffolding pole
in front of New York City
Rescue Mission, located at
90 Lafayette Street. While
the victim was held against
the pole, the second man
took the victim’s jacket
and shoulder bag, which
contained his wallet, $4 in
cash and his cellphone.
The suspects also
punched the victim repeatedly
in the face during the
robbery before fl eeing the
scene on foot southbound
on Lafayette Avenue.
The victim was taken to
NewYork-Presbyterian
Downtown Hospital with
minor injuries.
At 1:46 p.m. that same
day, officers arrested
Destefano, who resides at
90 Lafayette Street, and
charged him with robbery.
The second suspect has
not been apprehended at
this time.

Crook breaks into Chelsea
apartment as victim slept: NYPD

Cops are looking for a crook who
broke into a Chelsea apartment
and stole a man’s belongings while
he slept.
According to police, at 9 a.m. on Nov.
12 a 30-year-old man was inside his home,
wearing a black hooded
coat, a pink sweater, black
pants and multi-colored
sneakers.

located in the vicinity of 8th Avenue and
West 12th Street, when he realized that his
electronics had been stolen and contacted
the 6th Precinct. An investigation found
that at 4 a.m. that same day, an unknown
man entered the ground fl oor apartment
through the front door while the victim
was asleep.
Once inside, the suspect took electronics
and a bag valued at $300. No one was
injured as a result of the incident.
The NYPD released video of the suspect
taken from inside the apartment building.
He is described as a man between the ages
of 20 and 30 years old.

Creep caught touching himself
while riding train in Village: cops

Cops are looking for a creep who
pleasured himself while riding the
train in Manhattan.
According to police, at 7:15 p.m. on
Nov. 6 a 21-year-old woman was riding a
southbound B train that was en route to
the West 4th Street/Washington Square
station when she saw an unknown man
on the train who exposed his genitals and
masturbated. The woman got off the train
at the station while the suspect remained
on board the train.
The NYPD released a photo of the suspect
taken from onboard the train.

Detectives need the public’s help in
fi nding the assailant who stuck a
blade in a man’s hand during an
argument on the Lower East Side earlier
this month.
Police released on Nov. 17 security camera
images of the suspect sought for the
Nov. 5 stabbing, which occurred at 12:30
p.m. in front of the Rainbow store at 110
Delancey St., near Essex Street.
According to law enforcement sources,
the perpetrator got into a heated verbal
dispute with the 21-year-old male victim
for reasons that were not disclosed. That
led to a physical confrontation in which the
assailant pulled out a knife and stabbed the
man in the hand, causing a small laceration.
Following the attack, cops said, the suspect
fl ed the scene on foot in an unknown
direction.
Offi cers from the 7th Precinct responded
to the incident. EMS units brought the victim
to Mount Sinai/Beth Israel Hospital,
where he was listed in stable condition.
