Suspect sought for deadly subway
stabbing in Lower Manhattan

The NYPD released video footage on
Sunday morning of the suspect who
stabbed a man to death during an
argument at a Lower Manhattan subway
station on Saturday afternoon.
Law enforcement sources said the violence
happened at about 2:57 p.m. on Oct.
3 at the J/Z train platform of the Chambers
Street station. The stop is located only steps
away from City Hall, One Police Plaza and
other government buildings.
According to law enforcement sources,
the male victim, in his 20s, got into an argument
with the perpetrator. It’s not clear,
at this point, what sparked the argument.
The dispute turned deadly when the
suspect stabbed the victim man multiple
times in the legs.
Following the brutal attack, cops said,
the suspect fl ed from the Chambers Street
station. He was pictured moments later at
the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station approaching
a stopped 6 train.
Offi cers from the 5th Precinct, the
NYPD Transit Bureau and EMS rushed to
the scene. Paramedics brought the victim to
NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan
Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police have withheld the victims identity,
pending family notifi cation.
Cops described the suspect as a man
believed to be 30 years of age with a light
complexion, standing 5 feet, 5 inches tall
and weighing 150 pounds, with long, black
hair. He was last seen wearing a brown
hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Beatdown on the bus: Three brutes
sought for East Side attack

Cops are looking for
three tough guys
who pounced on a
passenger and beat him up
during a robbery on board
an East Side bus early Friday
morning.
The NYPD released
on Oct. 3 photos of the
crooks behind the Oct. 2
attack, which occurred at
3:45 a.m. on board a southbound
along 2nd Avenue near
28th Street.
Law enforcement
sources said the terrible
trio approached a 50-yearold
man riding the bus and
demanded his property.
When he claimed not to
have anything, cops said,
the threesome went on the
attack, knocking him to the
bus’s fl oor and assaulting
him.
A second passenger,
a 58-year-old man, tried
to stop the attack, and

Cops seek duo who robbed East Village
convenience store employee at knifepoint

Cops are looking for a pair
of crooks who robbed a
man at knifepoint in the
M15 bus traveling
East Village last month.
According to police, at 4:20
a.m. on Sept. 26 a 69-year-old
man was working at Community
Grocery and Candy, located
at 353 East 14th St., when an
unknown man entered the store
and came behind the counter.
The suspect pulled out a knife
and demanded cash from the
employee, while another unknown
man acted as a lookout.
The thief shoved the victim aside
and took $600 from the register, as
well as 7 packs of cigarettes. The
was then assaulted for his
trouble, police said.
According to the NYPD,
the assailants grabbed
the 50-year-old man’s
cellphone from out of his
pants, then pushed the
victims off the bus at the
corner of 2nd Avenue and
28th Street.
From there, police noted,
the crooks fl ed southbound
along 2nd Avenue.
Offi cers from the 13th
Precinct responded to the
incident. Both victims were

On Oct. 1, the NYPD released
photos and a video of the suspects:
minor injuries.
Cops described the three
suspects as Black men between
18 and 20 years of
age.

as a dark-skinned man with black
hair who was last seen wearing a
blue jacket, black pants and gray
sneakers. The second suspect,
described as a partially balding
Black man with salt and pepper
hair and beard, was last seen
wearing a gray hooded sweater,
black pants and gray sneakers.

Suspects sought
for slashing man on
Midtown street: cops

Cops are looking for
suspects who slashed a
man in Hell’s Kitchen
last week.
According to police, at 8:50
p.m. on Sept. 30 the NYPD
responded to a call regarding
an assault on West 44th Street.
Upon their arrival, offi cers
learned from a 47-year-old
man that he was slashed in the
arm by a group of unknown
individuals. At this time, it
is not clear what caused the
dispute.
The suspects fl ed the scene
to parts unknown. The victim
was taken to NYC Health +
Hospitals/Bellevue in stable
condition
The suspects are described
as men with light complexions.
