Subway creep sought for
groping woman on Q train

Transit detectives are looking
for the deviant who molested a
24-year-old woman on board a Q
train in Lower Manhattan on Saturday.
Police said the incident happened on
board an Upper West Side-bound Q train
near the City Hall Station at about 6:26
a.m. on Oct. 2.
According to law enforcement
sources, the perpetrator approached the
victim, then rubbed her leg and grabbed
her buttocks. After being groped, the
victim moved away from the creep, who
eventually departed the train at the 14th
Street/Union Square station.

The NYPD is looking
for a pair of crooks
who robbed a man at
gunpoint in Hudson Yards.
Authorities say that at 10
p.m. on Sept. 30, a 22-yearold
man was walking along
the sidewalk in front of 471
West 33rd Street when he was
approached by two unknown
men on a moped. One of the
men got off the moped, pointed
a fi rearm at the victim and forcibly
took the victim’s necklace.

The incident was reported to the 1st
Precinct and NYPD Transit District 1.
The woman was not injured.
As shown in security camera footage
released on Saturday, the suspect has a
dark complexion and a long beard. He
was last seen wearing a black hair covering,
a navy blue jacket and black pants
while carrying a black backpack.

Man accidentally shoots self
in leg near Times Square

A man accidnetally shot himself
near Times Square on Monday
afternoon, police said.
The individual was rushed to hospital on
Oct. 4 after receiving a gunshot wound to
the leg inside a subway station.
According to NYPD sources, police
received a report at 12:12 p.m. of a shooting
near the Times Square subway station
located on 40th Street and 7th Avenue.
The male victim was hit by a single
bullet and was transported to a local
hospital. His injuries are considered to be
non-life-threatening.

While train service was not affected by
this incident, offi cers cordoned off areas of
the 40th Street entrance, and are currently
investigating the subway station above and
below ground.
“NYPD offi cers are on-scene, both streetlevel
and below-ground at the Times Square
subway station as we investigate a person
with a gunshot wound to the leg. The public
should expect to see numerous emergency
personnel in the area,” NYPD Transit wrote.
Police said the suspect, Shaun Santiago,
39, later admitted to accidentally discharging
the weapon and injuring himself,
published reports indicated. He’s facing
various charges.

Cops cuff suspects in East
Village, Brooklyn murders

Homicide detectives picked
up a Bronx man on Monday
night in connection
with a recent murder in the East
Village.
Oneil Brown, 42, of Gerard
Avenue was tracked down on Oct.
4, nearly three months after he allegedly
stabbed a 37-year-old man
to death in the East Village in an
apparent prostitution/drug deal
gone bad.
According to law enforcement
sources, Brown attacked Marvin
Bellamy, 37, of Columbus Avenue
following an argument at the corner
of 1st Avenue and East 6th Street at
about 6 a.m. on July 14.
Offi cers from the 9th Precinct,
in responding to a 911 call, found
Bellamy unconscious and unresponsive
with a puncture wound
to his chest. EMS rushed him to
Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital,
where he was pronounced dead a
short time later.
Sources familiar with the investigation
said Brown, who had been
identifi ed as the prime suspect in
the case, was picked up within the
confi nes of the 13th Precinct in
Chelsea on Oct. 4.
Following questioning, he was
booked on one count of murder.
