Hateful suspect assaults and hurls anti-
Asian statements in Chelsea

Detectives are looking for a suspect
who attacked an Asian woman on a
Chelsea street.
According to police, at 11:55 a.m. on June
21 a 23-year-old woman was outside 122
West 26th Street when she was approached
by an unknown man from behind. The man
proceeded to kick her in the back and the
back of her leg and said, “F–ck you Asians,
f–k you Chinese people, f–k you!”

Detectives arrested a
man who allegedly
defaced the Black
Wall Street Gallery in Lower
Manhattan. According to
police, at 5:02 a.m. on May

menaced both the victim and the second
man. The suspect then fl ed the scene on foot
eastbound on West 26th Street.
The victim suffered pain to her back and
right leg but refused medical attention at the
scene. The investigation by the NYPD Hate
Crime Task Force is ongoing.
The NYPD released photos and video of
the suspect taken in the vicinity of West 26th
Street and 6th Avenue:

On July 26, police arrested
51-year-old William
Roberson, of West 144th
Street, and charged him
with criminal mischief.

Cops release sketch

Manhattan hate attack

Detectives are
looking for a
suspect who attacked
a woman inside
a Lower Manhattan subway
station months ago.
According to police,
at 10:45 p.m. on Nov. 5,
2020, a 47-year-old woman
was standing on the northbound
5 train platform at
the Canal Street station
when she was approached
by an unknown man. The
man proceeded to kick the
victim’s shoulder and left
side while making anti-
Chinese statements.
While it’s not immediately
clear what the suspect
said specifi cally, he
mentioned “China,” “Chinese,”
and “coronavirus.”
The suspect then fl ed the
station on foot.
The victim later sought
medical treatment for
her pain. She ultimately
reported the incident to
police on June 12, 2021.
On July 27, the NYPD
released a sketch of the
suspect. The investigation

Violent fi ght outside Midtown
strip club ends with stabbing

A 23-year-old man remains hospitalized
in stable condition after
being stabbed during a brawl
among two groups of people that began
outside a Midtown topless bar early
Tuesday morning, police said.
Detectives are now looking for
between four and six individuals connected
to the jiggle joint showdown,
which erupted at about 4:32 a.m. on
July 27 outside the Vivid Cabaret at 61
West 37th St.
At this point in the ongoing investigation,
police have not yet ascertained
the reasons which sparked the scuffl e
among the two warring groups.
Cops said the feuding foes continued
exchanging words as they headed away
from the cabaret and walked over to
1000 6th Ave., where the words then
turned violent.
Law enforcement sources said the
23-year-old man was knifed in the torso
and right arm during the melee. After
blood was spilled, the groups broke up
and ran from the scene.
Offi cers from the Midtown South
Precinct and EMS units responded to
the incident. Paramedics rushed the man
to Bellevue Hospital for treatment of his
injuries.
Police described the four to six suspects
as being Black men and women;
no other specifi c descriptions were available.
No arrests have been made in the
ongoing investigation.
