Drag March returns to Tompkins Square Park

On Friday evening, June 25, the annual Drag
March, a long-standing pre-Pride parade tradition
came roaring back with post-COVID color,
creativity, general craziness and a whole lot of joy.
Huge crowds of people put their imaginations to
work, creating wonderful looks that — two hours prior
to the actual march — resembled Wigstock in a bottle,
which was appropriate as Tompkins Square Park was
the original site for the legendary drag festival back in
the ’80s.
As in previous years, Hucklefaery led the circle that
preceded the march, reminding the crowd of some
