Looters sought for stealing $750,000
in merchandise from Chelsea furrier

Nearly two dozen
looters who helped
themselves to more
than $750,000 in furs from
a Chelsea store during protests
this week remain at
large, police reported.
The NYPD released
video Friday of the suspects
wanted for plundering
Madison Avenue Furs,
located at 118 West 27th
St., at 11:20 p.m. on June 1.
The break-in occurred
about 20 minutes after a
citywide curfew took effect
that evening, following
looting and rioting that undermined
the George Floyd
protests over the previous
weekend.
According to police, the
looters smashed their way
through a glass exterior
door. The security video

a secondary interior door
to get inside the shop.
Within seconds, cops
said, a stream of 15 to 20
looters walked into the
shuttered shop and stole
three-quarters of million
dollars in fur coats, scarves
and other items.

Cops are looking for a
suspect who hit a police
offi cer while they were
to the 13th Precinct.
making an arrest in Chinatown.
According to police, at 2:10
a.m. on June 1 offi cers on patrol
saw a burglary in progress at a
convenience store located at
120 Walker St. While the offi
cers were placing the suspect
under arrest, another unknown
man hit one of the offi cers in the
head with a glass object and fl ed
the scene.
The police offi cer was taken to New
York Downtown Hospital where he was
treated for lacerations to his head.
The suspect is described as a black man
between 20-25 years old. He was last seen
wearing a black jacket, white shirt, blue
jeans and yellow and black sneakers.

Police-involved shooting in East
Village leaves knife-wielding
suspect injured: NYPD

Cops shot a knife-wielding man in the
East Village early on the morning of
June 4, police reported.

Law enforcement sources say that at
6:40 a.m. on June 4, two offi cers assigned
to the 9th Precinct entered Healthy Green
Gourmet, located at 48 3rd Ave., and were
followed inside by a 55-year-old man with
a knife. The man proceeded to menace the
offi cers with the knife, causing one offi cer

Cops are looking for
a duo who robbed a
Greenwich Village
bodega in May.
According to police, at

injuries were reported as a
result of this incident.
On June 8, the NYPD
released photos and video
of the suspects.
