Crooks threaten pharmacy
employee with screwdriver while
trying to steal bleach in Manhattan
for it. When the suspect was stopped by
the employee, two other unknown men
entered the store and threatened him with
a screwdriver.
The suspects then fl ed the scene northbound
on 9th Avenue. There were no
reported injuries as a result of the incident.
No arrests have been made at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
Manhattan burglars stole $8K in
cellphones and tablets, struggle
with subway turnstile

Two geniuses who
couldn’t fi gure out
how to use a subway
turnstile nevertheless
were able to break into a
Midtown cellphone store
over the weekend.
Police released video
of the two perpetrators
wanted for the April 18
burglary, which occurred at
3:45 a.m. inside UN Plaza
Wireless at 865 First Ave.
According to law enforcement
sources, the
crooks used a metal object
to smash open the glass
front door. Once the got
in, they grabbed an assortment
of 15 iPhones, iPads
and Samsung cellphones,
worth a combined $8,050.
Burglar targets newsstand, worker’s
booth at Times Square subway station

These days, the Times
Square-42nd Street subway
station isn’t nearly
as fi lled with commuters as before
the coronavirus pandemic.
But one man keeps frequenting
the Midtown station for all the
wrong reasons, police reported
this weekend.
The NYPD needs the public’s
help in fi nding a burglar
who broke into a newsstand
and an MTA worker’s booth
at the subway hub twice this
month, stealing assorted
property.
Law enforcement sources
said the fi rst caper took place
at 3 a.m. on April 4, when the
thief broke into a newsstand
on the uptown platform on the
N/Q/R lines.
Afterward, the thieves
fl ed the scene in an unknown
direction. The theft
was later reported to the
17th Precinct.
The video police released
on Sunday shows
the two suspects inside the
51st Street station on the
6 line attempting to walk
through the turnstile. At

Cops said he pried open a
security gate, then got into
the newsstand and removed
an unknown amount of cold
medicine, beverages and
fi rst, they bump into the
turnstile, apparently surprised
it didn’t move; one
of them then decides to
climb over it.

p.m. April 14 and 6 a.m.
April 15. That’s when the
burglar got inside a closed
MTA worker’s booth on the
7 train platform at the Times
Square stop.
After getting into the booth,
authorities said, the burglar
removed a vest, hat and keys.
The NYPD did not provide
a physical description of the
burglar, who’s shown in a
photo released on Saturday
night.

on Sunday night.
According to police, at 8:30 p.m. on
April 19, a 41-year-old male employee at
Gristede’s Market, located at 225 9th Ave.,
when an unknown man entered the store
and tried to take bleach without paying
Roommate on the run after
stabbing a woman in their
Manhattan apartment: NYPD

A woman was stabbed by her
roommate after getting into
an argument in their Upper
East Side apartment on Sunday night.
According to police, at 8:25 p.m.
on April 19, a 30-year-old woman
got into an argument with her female
roommate at their apartment located
in the vicinity of East 86th Street and
2nd Avenue. Sources familiar with the
investigation stated that the argument

was over the roommate’s alcohol use.
Following the argument, the victim
told police that her roommate stabbed
her several times in the shoulder, abdomen,
thigh and sustained a slash
wound to her face. The suspect fl ed
the scene in an unknown direction.
EMS rushed the victim to NewYork
Presbyterian Hospital in stable
condition.
No arrests have been made at this
time. The investigation is ongoing.
