Death of man found
outside of Chelsea TV studio
ruled a homicide: NYPD

The death of a man who
was found outside of a TV
studio in Manhattan in
December is being investigated
as a homicide.
According to police, at 4:40
p.m. on Dec. 8, 2019, the NYPD
responded to a 911 call regarding
an unconscious man in front
of Chelsea Television Studios,
located at 221 West 26th St.

Woman fatally stabbed
in neck following dispute
at Harlem River Park

Detectives are looking
for a man who stabbed
a woman to death after
an argument inside Harlem River
Park in Manhattan early on Saturday
morning.
Law enforcement sources said
the bloodshed occurred at 1:33
a.m. on March 28 in the vicinity
of East 128th Street and Third
Avenue.
According to police, the
33-year-old female victim was
sitting on a bench inside the park
when the perpetrator approached.
The two got into a dispute for
reasons yet to be determined.
A source familiar with the case
said the victim and the suspect
were not known to each other.
informed that the victim, 53-yearold
Daniel Cunningham, was
taken to Lenox Health Greenwich
Village by EMS, where he was
pronounced dead.
The following day, police arrested
41-year-old Barry Levy
and charged him with harassment
and assault. It is not immediately
clear what the motive behind the
incident was.
On March 30, the NYPD announced
that the incident is now
being investigated as a homicide.
Moments later, cops reported,
the attacker knifed the woman in
her neck, then fl ed the scene on
a scooter, described possibly as a
red e-bike.
Offi cers from the 25th Precinct
and EMS units responded
to a 911 call about an assault in
progress and found the injured
woman. Paramedics rushed her
to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem,
where she was pronounced
dead.
Police have withheld her identity,
pending family notifi cation.
Law enforcement sources
describe her killer as a black man
in his 20s who was seen wearing
a red sweatsuit.
No arrests have been made at
this time, and the investigation is
ongoing.

who robbed a man at
knifepoint in Manhattan.

Man sought for questioning in deadly arson
fire on 2 train in Manhattan

The NYPD released a photo
Saturday night of a man
wanted for questioning in
connection to Friday’s arson fi re
on the 2 train in Manhattan that
left a motorman dead.
The incident happened at
3:14 a.m. on March 27 inside
the 110th Street station on the
2 line, located in the vicinity of
West 110th Street and Lenox
Avenue.
MTA offi cials said Friday that
the fi re began inside the second
front car of the 2 train that had
emanated out of Flatbush, Brooklyn
at 2:15 a.m. Upon pulling
into the 110th Street station, the
passengers on board were quickly
removed by personnel.
Upon arriving at the scene,
firefighters found three men
and a woman inside the station
33-year-old man was inside an
apartment building in the vicinity
of West 40th Street and 10th
Avenue when he was approached
by three unknown men. One of
the suspects pulled out a knife
while the others forcibly took the
suffering from smoke inhalation.
Paramedics rushed them to
Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount
Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital in stable
condition.
First responders also found
the train’s motorman — Garret
Goble, 36, of East 53rd Street in
Brooklyn — lying on the tracks.
EMS rushed Goble to Mount
Sinai Hospital, where he was
pronounced dead.
Acting New York City Transit
President Sarah Feinberg said
Friday that the blaze caused signifi
cant damage to train cars and
the station itself.
Police did not provide a physical
description of the suspect
wanted for questioning. The
MTA is offering a $50,000 reward
for information leading to
the arrest and conviction of the
arsonist.

When the suspects took off
with the bag, the suspect chased
them down. Following a brief
struggle, the victim was able to
get his bag back. The suspects
then fl ed the scene southbound
on 10th Avenue.
The victim suffered a minor
laceration from the knife during
the struggle. EMS treated him at
the scene, and the victim refused
further medical attention.
On April 1, the NYPD released
photos and video of the suspects
taken from nearby surveillance
footage.
