West Indies selectors have opted
for some new players for the upcoming
tour of Pakistan starting this
month .
Several uncapped players have
been selected for the series that
will feature three One-Day Internationals
(ODIs) and three Twenty20s
from Dec. 13 to 22 at the National

West Indies suffered another massive
defeat to Sri Lanka, losing by 164 runs
in the second and final Test match at
Galle International Stadium, to give the
hosts a clean sweep of the series.

West Indies Women have advanced to
next year’s World Cup in New Zealand,
based on their current status in the ICC
One-Day rankings.
They were scheduled to play Sri
Lanka last week but the match was
abandoned without a ball being bowled
after a member of the Asian side’s support
staff was tested tested positive for
COVID-19.
With the tournament’s cancellation,
West Indies, Bangladesh, and Pakistan
will now advance to next year’s World
Cup in New Zealand which will be
played from March 4 to April 3 next
