Joining forces in the fight against
the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the
Americas, including the Caribbean,
the Pan American Health Organization
(PAHO) said Sony Music Latin
and the international advocacy
organization Global Citizen on Monday
released a brand new version of
Diego Torres’ “Color Esperanza (The
Color Hope).”
PAHO said all record label net proceeds
from the song will benefit its
COVID-19 relief efforts throughout
the Americas.
“For so long, ‘Color Esperanza’ has
shined as a beacon of hope for music
fans everywhere,” said Alex Gallardo,
Sony Music US Latin president.
“We’re honored to team up with Global
Citizen to introduce a new version
of this classic that includes some
of the biggest stars in Latin Music to
the next generation and support the
fight against COVID-19 together.
“Music still brings hope when we
need it the most,” he added.
PAHO said further support came
from Global Citizen and various networks
throughout the United States
and Latin America.
Alongside the debut, the audio
went live on all streaming platforms
on Monday, PAHO said.

Brooklyn has paid a very special tribute
to Ulric Jones, Jr., popularly known as
“Soca Jones,” a prominent Vincentian
entertainment promoter in Brooklyn
and co-founder and vice chairman of
the massive Vincy Day USA picnic that
is held annually on the third Saturday
in August, at Heckscher State Park in
East Islip, Long Is.

Rihanna has entered Britain’s Sunday
Times’Rich list as Britain’s wealthiest
female musician.
Born Robyn Rihanna Fenty, the pop
megastar-turned-businesswoman, has
a fortune estimated at £468 million (£1
= US$1.23), according to the British
Guardian.
Eligible for inclusion in the newspaper’s
annual list since she moved to
London over a year ago, the Guardian
said on Saturday that Rihanna, who
entered the musicians’ category at No.
3 after Andrew Lloyd Webber and Paul
McCartney, is now richer than Mick
Jagger and Elton John, Ed Sheeran and
Adele.
